The situation is even more alarming in Assam where another <a href=\"https:\/\/exam.pscnotes.com\/icmr\">Icmr<\/a> estimate shows that one in four men and one in six <a href=\"https:\/\/exam.pscnotes.com\/women\">Women<\/a> of the state are at the risk of developing cancer, the highest in India, Dr B Borooah Cancer Institute (BBCI) director, Dr Amal Chandra Kataki, said during anWorld Cancer Dayevent.<\/p>\n<p>The ICMR-NCDIR report revealed that the age adjusted incidence rate (AAR)  used for comparing cancer incidences in different <a href=\"https:\/\/exam.pscnotes.com\/population\">Population<\/a>  for all cancer sites is the highest among males in Aizawl district (269.4 per 100,000 population) and females in Papumpare district in Arunachal Pradesh (219.8 per 100,000 population).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The projected number of cancer cases for the year 2025 is estimated to be 57,131 (30,985 in males and 26,146 in females).
