Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami handed over appointment letters to the successful candidates of the constable and firemen examination in a ceremony held at Police<\/a> lines here on Tuesday. The CM personally handed over the letters of appointment to 55 candidates in the programme. The Uttarakhand police has recruited 1,425 constables and firemen in its ranks. Speaking on the occasion, the CM said that a new recruitment drive will soon start to fill 1,550 vacant posts of constables in the police.<\/p>\n

Congratulating the successful candidates, the CM said that constables are the primary unit of the police force which acts as the foundation of the department. He expressed confidence that the newly appointed constables would discharge their duties with dedication, hard work and honesty. Dhami said that the is committed to make Uttarakhand Police modern and smart as per the vision of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Appreciating the police force, the CM said that it has created a special place for itself with friendliness, service and security. He said that the State is visited by pilgrims whose number is five times the Population<\/a> of the State but the police personnel are discharging their duties with utmost alertness and dedication.<\/p>\n

The CM said that the State government has enacted a stringent anti-copying law for ensuring a transparent process of recruitment. He said all the competitive examinations after imposition of new law have been conducted in a fair and transparent manner. The CM said that the stringent provision made in the law would prevent the copying mafia from affecting the sanctity of the examinations. To maintain the sanctity of the recruitment examinations,I resolved to undertake the strictest possiblemeasures.
