TheJharkhand Education<\/a> Project Council(JEPC) has allotted around Rs 2.5 crore to 219 government residential schools for girls to clean and install incinerators on campus. Eachschoolhas received Rs 1.10 lakh for cleaning and the purchase of necessary items such as huge trash cans, incinerators, among others.<\/p>\n

In addition to making the necessary modifications to school toilets, manual incinerators will be installed for disposal of feminine hygiene products such as sanitary napkins. Two large waste receptacles will be installed in each school. In order to make thegirl studentsaware about cleanliness, posters will be pasted in the common area. Schools have been instructed to establish two manual incinerators to dispose sanitary napkins.<\/p>\n

The state has 203 Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidayalayas and 16 Jharkhand Balika Awasiya Vidyalayas ( JBAV), covering all the blocks for the residential education of girls. Around 45,000 girls are being educated while residing on the residential school premises.<\/p>\n

The JEPC has formed a team for each of the state’s districts. This team is touring the districts, evaluating and monitoring the condition of the schools, and providing approvals and suggestions as needed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
