{"id":6444,"date":"2024-06-14T02:35:00","date_gmt":"2024-06-14T02:35:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/exam.pscnotes.com\/current-affairs\/?p=6444"},"modified":"2024-06-14T02:35:00","modified_gmt":"2024-06-14T02:35:00","slug":"telanganas-gst-collection-rises-17-compared-to-march-2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/exam.pscnotes.com\/current-affairs\/telanganas-gst-collection-rises-17-compared-to-march-2020\/","title":{"rendered":"Telanganas GST collection rises 17% compared to March 2020"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The goods and <a href=\"https:\/\/exam.pscnotes.com\/services\">Services<\/a> tax (GST) collection has shown improvement  a 17% <a href=\"https:\/\/exam.pscnotes.com\/growth\">Growth<\/a> this March when compared to March 2020.<\/p>\n<p>According to the latest figures on GST collection released by the <a href=\"https:\/\/exam.pscnotes.com\/union-government\">Union Government<\/a>, the  had collected Rs 3,562 crore in March 2020, and the collection went up to Rs 4,166 crore in March 2021, registering a growth of 17%.<\/p>\n<p>Among the southern states, Kerala recorded highest growth in GST collection at 24% and lowest growth in collection was observed in case of neighboring Andhra Pradesh (5%).<br \/> Among other states, <a href=\"https:\/\/exam.pscnotes.com\/tamil\">Tamil<\/a> Nadu witnessed a growth of 23% this year when compared to March 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Karnatakatoo had good GST collection growth rate at 11% when compared to March last year.<\/p>\n<p>Along withTelangana, two other states (HaryanaandNagaland) recorded 17% growth in GST collections in March when compared to last year. Coming to <a href=\"https:\/\/exam.pscnotes.com\/telangana\">Telangana<\/a>, there has been consistent growth in the GST collection since July last year, barring few months.<\/p>\n<p>In November 2020, the state had shown negative growth rate  5% less growth in GST collection compared to November 2019.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The goods and Services tax (GST) collection has shown improvement a 17% Growth this March when compared to March 2020.
