Highlights:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

With the allocated funds, distribution companies would also restore bare wires across elephant passages and movement areas.
This initiative is aimed at preventing elephant deaths because of electrocution.
A 79000 interposing poles have been erected, and about 2,300 circuit bare Conductors<\/a> have been replaced by covered ones.
The Companies and Forest Department have been asked to communicate regularly to obtain zero casualties of elephants.
Officials have also been aimed to involve the local Society<\/a> in elephant protection and bring in the scheme for compensating the villagers, who would provide information regarding illegal hooking for poaching wild animals.
