In the PIL, listed on January 18 this year, the petitioner had alleged that commercial activities were going on in the forest area, including serving liquor and construction of parking lot, at the fort. The fort belongs to the archaeology department and commercial activities are being run by the RTDC. The NGT took cognizance of increase in movement of people and night tourism activities in the area.
