he Indian Council of Medical Research (Icmr<\/a><\/u>) has nominated King George’s Medical University (KGMU<\/u>) as an advanced centre for clinical trials in the central zone. The council has published the name of the 12 institutes of six zones across the country.<\/p>\n

KGMU has been selected from the central zone which includes Uttar Pradesh, Bihar,Chhattisgarh<\/u>and Madhya Pradesh.<\/p>\n

The central research agency had sought applications from interested institutions to participate in the Indian clinical trial and Education<\/a> Network<\/a> (INTENT) programme. KGMUs application was selected after scrutiny and it was approved that the medical university will act as an advanced centre for clinical trials. ICMR is developing a centralised network in selected medical institutions and medical universities, which would run clinical trials of drugs, therapies and Vaccines<\/a>.
