The statecabinet amended the building by-laws and made it mandatory to install rainwaterharvestingstructures in all new buildings. The cabinet also approved a proposed amendment in the by-laws which will now enable construction of high rise buildings in plots which measure less than 1,000 square meters (10,000 square feet).<\/p>\n

The 11-member ministerial council also approved a proposal whereby employees of the can avail post-retirement and death benefits of the new National Pension Scheme in retrospective effective from December 1, 2004. Earlier, the schemes benefits were for those who retired after July 8, 2019.<\/p>\n

The cabinet also approved allocation of Rs 28.81 crore for Saubhagya Yojana, which aims to illuminate 213 villages in remote parts of the state through solar panels.<\/p>\n
