On the eve of theWorld Environment<\/a> Day, HarithaHaram programme received laurels, as a report published by Centre for Science and Environment (CSE), gaveTelanganathe highest score of 7.21 on a 10-point scale for improving forest cover.<\/p>\n

It stood on top among 29 states, while Gujarat was second with 6.5 score.
The report titled State of Indias Environment 2023 for this particular category of environment and green cover used criteria like change in forest cover from 2019 to 2021, share of municipal solid waste, total sewage treated etc.<\/p>\n
