The MP power distribution companies (discoms) have sought a power tariff hike of 3.2% for next financial year. TheMadhya Pradesh Power Management Companylimited (MPPMCL) filed their annual revenue requirement (ARR) before the Madhya Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (MPERC) seeking approval for a tariff hike.<\/p>\n
This time the company in its ARR has also created a special tariff category for metro rail, as it is expected that Bhopal and Indore metros will make its inaugural run in 2023-24.<\/p>\n
In its ARR, the power management company sought the commissions nod to increase the power tariff for the financial year 2023-24 to bridge their expected difference between estimated earnings and estimated revenue requirement of close to Rs 1500 crore. Overall estimated ARR for all the three discoms for year 2023-24 is pegged at Rs 49,500 crore and discoms have estimated that around Rs 1500 crore could be mopped up through tariffs hence a 3.2% power tariff hike has been sought to bridge this gap.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
