Version 2 of the Passport Seva Program is an expansion of Version 1 of the Passport Seva Program.<\/p>\n

Highlights:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

It’s a web-based service, established as part of the National E-Government Plan.<\/p>\n

The Indian government plans to deploy e-Passports in the near future for citizens renewing or applying for new passports.<\/p>\n

The primary goal of e-passports is to increase their security. It will facilitate immigration. It’s a step up from a standard passport.<\/p>\n

A chip is included in the E-Passports. The chip contains the holder’s personal information, including biographical information.<\/p>\n

Unauthorized data access is prevented as a result of this. National Informatics Centre and IIT Kanpur developed the Software<\/a> for the E-Passport.<\/p>\n
