The Har Ghar Nal Se Jal program plans to increase the supply of tap water to 1.8 million rural households.<\/p>\n

It is an improved version of the National Rural Drinking Water Program, launched in 2009.<\/p>\n

The basic goal of the program is to provide running tap water to all households.<\/p>\n

States must implement some mandatory components of the program, including installation of bore wells and tube wells in areas where is no water supply , and installation of pumps with dry sensors and replenishment structures among other things.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
