Its IUCN status is endangered and its also under schedule I of Wildlife Protection Act of India, 1972.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><strong>Habitat and Distribution:<\/strong> Found in a 400 km stretch of the Western Ghats in Kerala and Tamil Nadu, inhabiting montane grasslands.
