As part of its effort to build an EV hub to complement the internal combustion engine (ICE) auto hub in Nadu, the State Government<\/a> is in the process of developing specific connected and integrated locations for both the domestic and export markets.<\/p>\n

Tamil Nadu accounts for 10.3% of electric vehicles sold in India right now up from 6.4% in 2019. In 2021, nearly 3% of the vehicles registered in TN were EVs and by 2030 this number is projected to go over 30% of the fleet in the state, said Moinuddin. To allow the ICE to EV transition, the state government is building charging Infrastructure<\/a> which is one of the biggest constraints in the move towards EV from ICEs.<\/p>\n

Tamil Nadu has already emerged as the EV hub of the country which is evidenced by the Investment<\/a> commitment and interest of nearly Rs 20,000 crore with a potential of generating over 52,000 jobs across segments of the value chain in EV, EV components, EV battery, technology R&D, EV chargers and charging Services<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
