Health<\/a> minister T Harish Rao has urged NRI doctors and alumni of medical colleges settled in different countries to adopt the new medical colleges in the state to help improve medical Education<\/a> and research. He assured them all assistance in taking up the mission.<\/p>\n

The health minister said the state plans to construct superspeciality hospitals at Warangal, four TIMS medical centres around Hyderabad and an additional 2,000 beds at NIMS. In addition, eight medical colleges will be built by the end of this year and eight more the year after.<\/p>\n

The NRI doctors include those from Osmania, Gandhi, Kakatiya and Telangana Medical Alumni of America (OGKTMA) comprising 20,000 doctors from the state. This body constitutes one of the largest and oldest Indian medical alumni in the US, the doctors said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
