The Chhattisgarh government on Saturday decided to conduct a survey of land for resettlement and allocation of shops through lottery and correction of errors in land records of Nava Raipur Atal Nagar.<\/p>\n

A decision was arrived at after a three-hour meeting with a delegation of Kisan Kalyan Samiti and a committee chaired by Agriculture<\/a>-notes-for-state-psc-exams”>Agriculture<\/a> and Resources<\/a>“>Water Resources<\/a> Minister Ravindra Choubey at his official residence here.<\/p>\n

Cabinet ministers Mohammed Akbar, Dr Shiv Kumar Dahariya, Abhanpur MLA Dhanendra Sahu and senior officers were also present.<\/p>\n

The new capital city project affected the farmers of 27 villages who have been agitating for the last one month. At an earlier meeting, the farmers did not participate.<\/p>\n

As per the consensus, a Kisan Kalyan Samiti delegation and related village panchayat Sarpanch under the Raipur district Collector will conduct a survey of land for resettlement of farmers affected by Nava Raipur Atal Nagar.<\/p>\n

The shops being constructed in Nava Raipur will be allocated to farmers affected by the new capital city project through a lottery system. The farmers brought to notice the errors in land records and its rectification, which will undergo verification.<\/p>\n

After the meeting, Minister Choubey told the media that there has been a meaningful discussion with the farmers’ delegation about the difference in economic compensation and all other issues.<\/p>\n

The farmers have to take the decision to end the agitation. He said the farmers displeasure is with the earlier BJP government.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
