{"id":12637,"date":"2024-06-14T15:25:36","date_gmt":"2024-06-14T15:25:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/exam.pscnotes.com\/current-affairs\/?p=12637"},"modified":"2024-06-14T15:25:36","modified_gmt":"2024-06-14T15:25:36","slug":"yogi-govt-implements-legal-aid-defence-counsel-system","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/exam.pscnotes.com\/current-affairs\/yogi-govt-implements-legal-aid-defence-counsel-system\/","title":{"rendered":"Yogi govt implements Legal Aid Defence Counsel System"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Yogi Adityanath government has implemented the Legal Aid <a href=\"https:\/\/exam.pscnotes.com\/defence\">DEFENCE<\/a> Counsel System (LADCS), under the Uttar Pradesh State Legal <a href=\"https:\/\/exam.pscnotes.com\/services\">Services<\/a> Authority, for a period of two years to provide free legal assistance to the people and resolve disputes among them by working out a compromise formula.<\/p>\n<p>The objective of the government behind implementing LADCS is to strengthen court-based legal services in order to provide effective and competent legal assistance to the weak and vulnerable sections of <a href=\"https:\/\/exam.pscnotes.com\/society-notes-for-state-psc-exams\">Society<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>He said LADCS would provide qualitative and competent legal services to eligible individuals in criminal cases.
