GST collection was recorded at Rs 43 crore and Rs 333 crores in April 2020 and April 2019 respectively. The CM said the state excise departement also registered revenue collection of Rs 142 crore in April 2021 as against Rs 8 crore and Rs 155 crore in April 2020 and April 2019 respectively.<\/p>\n<p>He said thestate excise and  departmenthas collected revenue of Rs 642 crore in April this year as against Rs 76 crore collected during the corresponding period last year.<br \/> The department has registered a <a href=\"https:\/\/exam.pscnotes.com\/growth\">Growth<\/a> of 9 percent in April 2021 in comparison to April 2019 (Rs 590 crores).<\/p>\n<p>Thakur said that the initiative of the department, especially regular interaction with taxpayers and recognising their contribution towards thestate <a href=\"https:\/\/exam.pscnotes.com\/economy\">economy<\/a> in pandemic periodis leading to better and timely compliance by taxpayers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Chief minister Jai RamThakursaid the department registered its highest ever GST collection of Rs 429 crore in April 2021.
