With almost 85%smart city<\/u>projects completed,Udaipur<\/u>now ranks third in the list of Smart Cities<\/a>. On Friday, the Centre had issued a ranking of the top 100smart cities<\/u>of the country. Last year, the city was ranked fifth. Bhopal and Indore are on first two spots.<\/p>\n

Kota<\/u>is at the eighth position followed by Ajmer (9th) and Jaipur (44th). Officials of the smart city project in Udaipur are confident about bringing the city on top position by mid-March by completing 90% projects. Under the smart city project, Rs 1,221 crore was sanctioned for Udaipur city for completing 93 projects.<\/p>\n

So far Rs 920.32 crore had been allotted and 79 projects worth Rs 550 crore have been completed.<\/p>\n

With completion of 90% projects, the city will get additional 15 points which will pave way for Udaipur to be on top of the list.<\/p>\n

For competing the smart city projects in Udaipur, Rs 500 crore has been contributed by the central government while the has contributed Rs 300 crore. The UIT of Udaipur will be contributing Rs 70 crore and the nagar nigam’s contribution will be Rs 51 crore.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
