{"id":10252,"date":"2024-06-14T14:38:19","date_gmt":"2024-06-14T14:38:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/exam.pscnotes.com\/current-affairs\/?p=10252"},"modified":"2024-06-14T14:38:19","modified_gmt":"2024-06-14T14:38:19","slug":"ksidc-and-iiser-to-set-up-laboratory-animal-centre","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/exam.pscnotes.com\/current-affairs\/ksidc-and-iiser-to-set-up-laboratory-animal-centre\/","title":{"rendered":"KSIDC and IISER to set up laboratory animal centre"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The<u>Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation<\/u>(KSIDC) has joined hands with<u>Indian Institute of Science <a href=\"https:\/\/exam.pscnotes.com\/education\">Education<\/a><\/u>and Research (IISER), to set up a state-of-the-art laboratory animal centre that will provide preclinical grade animals and research support for companies setting up research and development facilities at the<u>Life Sciences Park<\/u>and also for the academia of the state.<\/p>\n<p>The KSIDC has entered into a MoU with IISER, which is an autonomous institution under the<u>union ministry of <a href=\"https:\/\/exam.pscnotes.com\/human-resource-development\">Human resource development<\/a><\/u>, to set up the facility by improving its existing facility, which is a very capital intensive initiative and which also needs to follow various guidelines and protocols for its operation and management.
