Chief Minister Hemant Soren today launched ‘SAHAY (Sports<\/a> Action towards Harnessing Aspiration of Youths) from Kolhan Division to polish and nurture sports talents of rural areas of State.<\/p>\n

Through scheme, in first phase, 72,000 youths of 14 to 19 years of Naxal-affected districts including Chaibasa, Seraikela-Kharsawan, Khunti, Gumla and Simdega will get an opportunity to show their skills in field of sports.<\/p>\n

Talented youth in sports up to Panchayat, Ward, Block and District level will get an opportunity to show their skills in other sports including hockey, football, volleyball and athletics.<\/p>\n

The scheme will be operated by the Sports Department. The objective of scheme is to motivate youth of Naxal affected areas towards a positive life by giving them an identity through sports. In competitions organized under scheme, winners and runners-up at district and state level will also be honored by giving incentives.<\/p>\n

Players of Jharkhand are making a splash in field of sports. SAHAY Yojana has been started with the objective of promoting sports further. Sports will be organized at every level.
