World Bank To Fund Chennai Sustainable Urban Services

has approved about $150 million, to aid Chennais Sustainable Urban Services program.

Highlights:

It will help to create Chennai into a city that’s more green, liveable, and resilient towards global Climate-change”>Climate Change.
Apart from the program in Tamil Nadu, World Bank has also approved a $40 million project which will improve the standard of Health services within the state of Meghalaya.
It’ll also strengthen the capacity of the state in handling health emergencies just like the COVID-19 pandemic.
It’ll also help in improving the financial health of service agencies and convey significant improvements within the quality of 4 key urban services:

Water supply and sewerage
Mobility
Health, and
Solid Waste Management.
