WHO praises Haat Bazaar Clinics

The World Health Organization (WHO) has praised the Haat Bazar Clinic scheme of Chhattisgarh, saying it was effective in providing healthcare facilities to people in remote villages and forest areas.

WHO has prepared a documentary film based on the scheme that was released by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel at his residence in Raipur.

The film will be screened at the WHO headquarters in Geneva.

Haat-Bazar Clinic scheme has played an effective role in the success of Malaria-Mukt Bastarcampaign and Mukhyamantri Suposhan Yojana.

So far, more than 62,47,000 people have availed the healthcare facilities in the past four years through 1.28 lakh Haat-bazaar clinics.

The scheme includes counselling pregnant mothers and treating infectious and non-communicable diseases, eye diseases, Malnutrition, skin diseases, diabetes, TB, leprosy, high blood pressure and HIV. Vaccination of infants and pregnant Women is done too.
