Uttar Pradeshs ethanol production is likely to cross 135 crorelitre markduring the present fiscal owing to more number of distilleries producing the renewable fuel over the past one year.
To note, UP is the first state to achieve the 10% ethanol-petrol blending programme target set by the Union Government. During the previous fiscal (2021-22) the distilleries in the state generated 97 crore litre of ethanol.
