UP implementing AMRUT projects on a war footing

The Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) scheme, which was launched to provide and facilities in cities and towns, is being implemented on a war footing in Uttar Pradesh as out of 279 projects sanctioned for the state, 211 have been completed at a cost of Rs 5,288.29 crore.

Under the water supply scheme, 8.40 lakh domestic connections have been given while the work on 2.04 lakh connections is still pending. At the same time, a target of 8.38 lakh connections has been set for sewer connections, out of which 5.73 lakh domestic connections have been given and 2.65 lakh connections are in progress.
