In a relief to e-vehicle users, the Yogi Adityanath government has approved establishment of a web portal to facilitate application and claiming of the subsidy on such vehicles.
Those who bought theirEVsin UP after October 2022 will be eligible for the subsidy.
Under this, the date of notification of the scheme will be effective from October 14, 2022 to October 13, 2023.
Also, the distribution of subsidy in each vehicle category will be done as per the arrangement contained in the policy.
According to this, a 15% subsidy will be given on the factory price of EV purchased in the state.
The first two lakh two-wheeler EVs will be provided with a subsidy of Rs 5,000 each. Similarly, the first 25,000 four-wheelers will get subsidy upto Rs 1 lakh per vehicle.
The initial 400 e-buses (non-government) purchased in the state will get subsidy up to Rs 20 lakh per vehicle. Up to 10% of the factory cost will be allowed on the e-goods carrier.
Subsidy will be available on the purchase of the first 1000 e-goods carriers upto Rs 1 lakh per vehicle.
