Tiger conservation efforts bring carbon benefits worth Rs 769 crore

2015 A pilot study by the Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM), Bhopal, & NationalTiger ConservationAuthority (NTCA) revealed the economic value of sixtiger reserves Co rbett, Kanha, Kaziranga, Periyar, Ranthambore, and Sundarbans ranged from Rs 8. 3-17. 6 billion annually.

2019 A similar study of 10 Anamalai, Bandipur, Dudhwa, Melghat, Nagarjunsagar-Srisailam, Pakke, Palamau, Panna, Similipal, and Valmiki revealed their economic value was between Rs 5,095 crore and Rs 16,202 crore. However, this is not the end. Effective tiger conservation in India can also help keep the planet cool.
