The Yogi Adityanath government had obtained the approval of the for the first supplementary budget of 2021-22 in August this year. The size of the supplementary budget was Rs 7,301.52 crore to meet additional expenditure and was only 1.33 per cent of the annual budget of Rs 5.5 lakh crore for 2021-22.
The second supplementary budget is for financing the populist schemes and mega projects. The winter session of UP assembly will begin from December 15 and it will be the last session of the Yogi government as the state goes to the polls in January-February next year.
The government is also likely to table the Vote on Account for the first quarter of the next fiscal 2022-23 for financing government expenditure.
After inauguration of the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor and ongoing construction of Ram temple at Ayodhya, the State Government might announce some new projects for Mathura. In the supplementary budget, the Yogi government is likely to make provisions for new spiritual and tourism projects for Mathura.
In the proposed supplementary budget, financial provisions for Ganga Expressway, Jewar International Airport and Gorakhpur Metro could be made. Besides, the state government might make fresh and additional provisions for remitting the Scholarship of students.
