A joint force of more than 2,000 independent security forces launched an important anti-Nazi operation in the Bijapur and Sukma areas of the South Bastar Forest, considered a Maoist base.
The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), its elite unit CoBRA (Commando Battalion for Resolute Action), Special Task Force (STF) and District Reserve Guard (DRG) personnel participated in operations launched from five locations.
