The city has topped in the disbursal of the micro-credit to the vendors under the Prime Minister Street VendorsAtmaNirbhar Nidhi(Svanidhi Yojana) in the state.Under the scheme, executed by the local bodies, the vendors get a loan of up to Rs10,000 at a low-interest rate, possibly at 7%, which has to be repaid in monthly instalments within over one year.

The central government has subsidised the loans for the vendors who can get a minimum of Rs 10,000 and a

maximum of Rs 50,000 subsidised loans from the banks under the scheme.
