Telangana State Road Transport Corporation all set to go digital

In a measure aimed at encouraging cashless transactions, theTelangana State Road Transport Corporationis now planning to introducei-TIMS(Intelligent Ticket Issue Machine) to issue tickets in district buses.

The operation was started on the pilot basis on theRGIAroad for Pushpak buses, where the passenger can make payments usingUPI, credit or debit cards.
The transport

juggernaut, which has conducted a tender for 900 machines, is now supplying them to district depots. Officials are also making arrangements to start the same procedure in city.
