With the rise in temperatures in , the power demand has reached record peak recently. TheTelangana power utilitiesreached 13,688 mega watts demand which is a record in the state.
According to officials, the power highest demand recorded was 13,168 MW in February, 2020. In the Greater Hyderabad limits, the power demand has touched 2,760 MW from 1,700 MW earlier. Interestingly, the discoms have been supplying 30 MW each to three data centres of Amazon without any interruption.

The officials said with more industries coming up in the state, the industrial power consumption is likely to go up in the coming up.
