According to the latest ECOWRAP report released by the State Bank Of India (SBI) on Wednesday, Telanganas 338 projects also place it among the top six states in announcing new projects during this period.
Gujarat tops in investments (2. 32 lakh crore), followed by Maharashtra (1. 51 lakh crore), Tamil Nadu (1. 43 lakh crore),Karnataka(Rs 91,016 crore) and Uttar Pradesh (Rs 81,151 crore). During the same period, neighbouring Andhra Pradesh attracted Rs 33,861 crore in investment from 224 projects.
Telanganas strong investment policy framework combined with a good response mechanism played a significant role in the states emergence as a major investment destination since its formation in 2014, officials said.
