Naveen announces Rs 50K crore loan for SHGs

Giving a big push to the Mission Shakti movement for womens Empowerment in the state, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday announced that (SHGs) will get interest free loans of Rs 50,000 crore during the next five years.

Mission Shakti has made a provision to provide interest subvention benefits of Rs 1,200 crore on the loans. He disbursed interest subvention benefits of Rs 125 crore for the first two quarters of 2022-23 to more than 2.5 lakh SHGs. This was done through technology platform directly to the SHG accounts.

A key element of the special package for the startups in these select categories is 50% increase in grant to 15 lakh from the present 10 lakh through StartupTNs flagship grant initiative Tamil Nadu Startup Seed Grant Fund (TANSEED), Tamil Nadu government said in its order. The grant will be disbursed in three equal instalments of 5 lakh each, with 25% of total TANSEED assistance earmarked for women-led startups and 10% for rural impact startups, a State Government release said.

31,000 Karnataka farmers yet to get loan waiver of Rs 167.5 crore

More than 31,000 farmers are still awaiting the benefits of the ‘s farm loan waiver scheme.

The highest number of such farmers are in Belagavi (3,676), followed by Vijayapura, Bagalkot, Tumakuru and Mandya.

Chief electoral officer Vikas Raj on Thursday released final electoral list for 119 assembly constituences, pegging the total voters in the state at 2.99 crore.

Addressing reporters at his chambers here, Vikas Raj said that 6.8 lakh new voters have been added to the list while 2.7 lakh names have been deleted. The voters numbers drop from 3 crore in draft rolls announced in January 2022 owing to continous updation process that saw both additions and deletions for various reasons.

Anganwadis to be revamped in three phases in AP with Rs 1500 cr funds

Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has said the will spend over Rs 1500 crore on modernisation of Anganwadis under the Nadu-Nedu and provide better amenities under three phases in AP.

Jagan Reddy directed the officials to constantly monitor the supply of milk and eggs to the children to ensure their quality. Formulate SOPs using new technology to ensure a foolproof and hassle-free distribution of food items, he said.
