Electrification of railways in Hry to be 100%

Haryana successfully completed the electrification work of railways in the state being carried out by the central and state governments. Lauding this achievement of Haryana, Prime MinisterNarendra Modisaid electrification of railways would create more opportunities towards development of Haryana.

Railways minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, in his tweet, disclosed the 100% completion of RAILWAY electrification work in Haryana.

Punjab CM launches AI-based Chatbot helpline service to identify missing children

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann launched (AI) based Chatbot helpline service to facilitate the detection of missing children.

The helpline service is integrated with a WhatsApp number, where people can raise complaints about missing children.

After sending the text to the said WhatsApp number, some AI-based questions will be asked. After they are answered, the information will be sent to the District Control Room, so that the concerned Police stations can be informed. 24 hours after the start of the investigation, the ‘181’ helpline number will stay in contact with the complainant.

Himachal Pradesh govt will generate 2,000MW power in 3 years to provide 300 units free electricity: CM

The chief ministerSukhvinder Singh Sukhuled government ofHimachal Pradeshwill generate 2,000MW of electricity in the next three years to fulfil its election promise of providing 300 units of free electricity to the people of the state made during the assembly .

He said that the State Government would also try to get 30 percent free power from all those hydroelectric projects set up in the state, which have become debt free. He said that if the government succeeds in this work, then every year the state will get an additional income of Rs 10,000 crore. He regretted that the power policy also changed with the change of government in the state, due to which the royalty of the state kept on decreasing.

He said that at present 12000 MW electricity is being generated in Himachal Pradesh, but the state’s share in it is just nominal. He said that on March 2, 2024, the 99-year lease of the Shanan hydroelectric project would end and the state government was constantly trying to take back this project.

UP to give 88 drones on 40% subsidy to spray fertilizers on farms

In a bid to help farmers maintain their fields and crops, agricultural committees and self-help groups inUttar Pradeshwill be provided drones on 40 percent subsidy.

In the first phase, farmers’ group, and Agriculture-notes-for-state-psc-exams”>Agriculture graduates will be eligible for subsidies.

According to officials, a drone is capable of carrying 10-12 kg of nano (liquid) urea or pesticide and can spray the fertilizer on sugarcane crops across eight bighas of land in 10 minutes.
The drones will reduce both the cost of production of the crops and time as well.
Last year, farmers were witness to the first-of-its-kind trial of nano urea by the sugarcane department in Bijnor’s Mandawali village.

Gadkari promises Rs 2 Lakh Crore Highway network in State

Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari laid foundation and inaugurated 31 projects to the tune of Rs 13,296 crore in Jharkhand on Thursday. Out of the 31 projects nine are for Jamshedpur region, with an estimated cost of Rs 3,378 crore and 21 are for Ranchi region, with an of Rs 9,453 crore.

On the occasion, the Union Minister assured to strengthen the road Infrastructure in the State and said that a Network of highways worth Rs 2 lakh crores will be established in Jharkhand by the year 2024. He said that the network of world class roads will be set up in the State including parts of the Bharatmala and economic corridors to pull Jharkhand in the league of developed States.

Gadkari further said the State has abundant Resources“>Natural Resources apart from coal and iron and an excellent infrastructure here could propel it to develop, which in turn will lead to the Growth of the nation.He said thata good network of roads and highways will boost industrial activity in the State and also create enormous EMPLOYMENT opportunities.

The Union Minister, on the occasion, also asked the State Government to send proposals for ropeways. He said that no such proposal was received from Jharkhand, while on the other hand 260 such proposals have been received from states throughout the country.

DMs in Bihar told to stop sale of temple, mutt land

The has launched steps to prevent sales and capturing of landed properties of temples and mutts. There are more than 5,000 temples and mutts in the state but half of them have not registered themselves with theBiharState Board of Religious Trust (BSBRT) so far.

As per the data compiled by the BSBRT, there are around 2,512 unregistered temples or mutts in the state whereas the number of registered temples is around 2,499 having about 23,000 acres of land.

Fortified rice under PDS in Chhattisgarh from April 1

In a bid to increase the nutritional value of rice distributed to ration card holders, the Chhattisgarh government will distribute fortified rice (FRK) under one of its ambitious PDS schemes from April 1.

An official Communication said on Monday that FRK is loaded with micronutrients like iron, folic acid, Vitamin B-12 and several Minerals that provide essential nourishment to the body and help prevent various diseases.

The communiqu added that in preparation of FRK of this kind, 99 percent normal rice and 1 percent fortified rice is used, which may give a slightly different colour and shape than normal rice.

The mixture eliminates the deficiency of additional nutrients in human body and increases immunity against diseases.

The communiqu said that FRK must not be separated while using it and urged consumers to consume the nutritious rice for better Health.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that it is necessary to ensure public participation in monitoring the implementation and effectiveness of development and public welfare activities like the MNREGA scheme, construction of Amrit Sarovar, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
