Haryana: World’s largest safari park to be developed in Gurugram, Nuh

Haryanais all set to develop one of the largest jungle safari parks in the Aravalli Mountain range of Gurugram andNuhdistricts.

This project spread on an area of 10,000 acres will be the largest such project in the world.

At present, the largest curated safari park outside Africa is in Sharjah which was opened in February 2022 on an area of about 2,000 acres.

The proposed Aravalli Park would be five times more this size and it would include a large serpentarium, aviary/bird park, four zones for big cats, a large area for herbivores, an area for exotic animal birds, an underwater world, nature trails, visitors, tourism zones, botanical gardens, biomes, equatorial, tropical, coastal, desert, etc.

Punjab pins hope on rationalisation to improve health services

Facing resource constraints,Punjabgovernment is trying toimprove Health servicesby optimising use of available Resources through rationalisation. Lack of resources has become a major stumbling block for theAam Aadmi Party(AAP) government in fulfilling one of its key promises of improving health Services.
To overcome this challenge and increase efficiency, plans are being made to synchronise health resources available with the health and rural development and panchayats department.

By doing this, the government aims at overcoming shortage of doctors in the health department and lack of facilities in rural healthcare centres. To enhance the reach of health services, the government plans to open 600 primary health centres, which currently number around 400. Of these, 105 centres dont have doctors. As many as 560 doctors work in rural dispensaries which are functioning even without basic medicines for pain, cold, fever and allergy.

In Himachal Pradesh, district road safety panels to identify all black spots

TheHimachal Governmenthas constituted DistrictRoad SafetyCommittees (DRSC) in all administrative districts to formulate, coordinate and monitor road safety programmes.

The committee, to be headed by thedistrict magistrateand collector (ex-officio), will monitor the implementation of State Road Safety Policy and the targets set under it.

It will regularly track and updateState Road Safety Council(SRSC) on details of road crashes that took place in the district, including detail of vehicle, cause of crash, spot investigation, evidence, offenders and details of victims and their latest condition, type of injury caused and FIR registered etc.

Ukhand med colleges to start tele-consultations

To make healthcare more accessible for people in the remote corners of the state, medical colleges inDehradun, Haldwani, Almora andSrinagarwill soon launch a tele-consultation facility. Over 400 primary and community Health centres from all 13Uttarakhanddistricts will become a part of this Network, said officials.

Specialists, surgeons and doctors running OPDs can be consulted through this facility. Nodal officers have been appointed at all medical colleges to manage the initiative.

Officials said that tele-consultations will take place throughout the day and will come in handy for pre-medications, primary diagnosis, prescription delivery, post-op consultation etc.

When the pandemic began, hospitals had started tele-consultations, but they claim that it hasnt been done on such a wide scale in the state earlier and is an entirely new set-up. They hope to get the entire project off the ground by August end.

Uttarakhand will become the 14th state to start this facility.

MSME push turned UP youth from jobseekers to job providers: CM Yogi Adityanath

Aiming to create more jobs in the state, theUttar Pradeshgovernment organised a mega loan mela on Thursday in which banks have pledged to disburse loans worth Rs 2.95 lakh crore to various MSME units in the state. Speaking on the occasion, chief ministerYogi Adityanathsaid that the MSME push through the ODOP scheme and other policy decisions turned youth in UP from jobseekers to job providers.

The CM said that when he took charge of the state, he got the legacy of a virtually dead MSME sector.

The combined effect of right policy and hard work put in by MSME unit owners had made UP a land of job providers rather than that of jobseekers,” the CM said. He also said that UP’s credit-debit (CD) ratio has improved from 46% in 2017 to 53% in 2022. He urged the banks to encourage the young MSMEs and start-ups so that the CD ratio touches the 60% mark at the end of 2027.

CCL inks deal with PSU to set up nine eco-parks in Jharkhand

Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), a Jharkhand-based subsidiary of Coal India Ltd., signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a public sector enterprise,WAPCOS Ltd.

The parks covering an area of 126.47 hectares will be developed in Bokaro, Chatra, andHazaribagdistricts at a cost of around Rs 63 crore.

The development of the eco-parks will envisage a sustainable ecosystem by adopting suitable measures like honey bee farming, fish farming, Food Processing plant and others with a goal for revenue generation to meet the maintenance expenditure.

The period of engagement of WAPCOS Ltd is for six years, including one year for development and subsequent five years for maintenance.

High court orders state to preserve historical bldgs

In a significant order, thePatna on Wednesday held that state is under a constitutional obligation to protect, develop and preserve the monuments and memorials related to the Desh Ratna Dr Rajendra Prasad.

With a note of expectation that the State Government will expedite its process of legislation for preserving and managing the memorials pertaining to the first President of India. The court also recorded the statement of Advocate General Lalit Kishore that the state cabinet has approved an ordinance for the said purpose.

The HC further directed the state to relocate all the study centres of historical importance which are situated inBihar Vidyapeethso that their historical values remain prevented from any further damage.

Chhattisgarh: Tribal department seeks improvement in sports facilities

After reviewing 19 Sports complexes operated in the state,tribaldepartment commissioner has instructed officers on the improvement of facilities and the system in all sports complexes run by the tribal department.

There are a total of 19 sports complexes that are being operated in the 16 districts under the department. A total of 100-1900 seat availability are sanctioned in each of these complexes. Students associated with the complex are provided a complete sports dress of Rs. 3,000 once a year. The dress includes a pair of tracksuits, a pair of sports or warm-up shoes, two pairs of socks, and two pairs of sports clothing.

5 countries ready to develop pisciculture in Madhya Pradesh

Under Blue Revolution, now, our aim is to make Madhya Pradesh pioneer in high fish/seeds production, setting up feed mills, branding and promotion of freshwater fish along with benefiting fishermen by extending them benefits of the central and state-run schemes and helping them exploring new markets and getting right price of their fish the minister said.
