Haryana Government will organize the International Gita Mahotsav-2021 from December 9 to 14 in Kurukshetra.

The theme of this festival will be based on the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. Gita Yagya and Gita Pujan will be organized during the inauguration of the main programme on December 9, said an official spokesman.

He said that the important aspect is that this year the festival will include Deeputsav, Sant Sammelan, cultural programme, International Gita Seminar, Gita Marathon, exhibition of 48 Kos Tirthas, Vishwa Guru Bharat, state level exhibition of various Departments and exhibition of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav along with online competitions.

To spruce up the educational infrastructure in the State, Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi on Monday gave nod to the recruitment of 10,880 posts vacant in the education department related to various Cadres.

Presiding over a meeting of various departments, the Chief Minister described Education as the core sector which would be streamlined and kept under sharp focus. The Chief Minister also directed for creation of 2,000 Physical Education teachers in primary schools and recruitment so as to ensure the robust Health of the school students apart from focusing on the academic aspect.

Advocating the formation of clusters in every village whereby the village having a primary, middle and the high school would be availing the Services of a single physical education trainer, Channi asked the School Education Department to actively consider the proposal. Besides, he discussed various issues related to various unions and directed that the department may have discussions and after examining their demand may take up the matter with Finance Department.

Accepting the long pending demand of around 1,000 headmasters and teachers recruited under RMSA, the CM directed the Finance Department to release state share of salaries which were cut due to upper cap made by Government of India (in 2016). It will cost around 3.2 Crore to state exchequer.

3 lakh students to be given school bags in Himachal Pradesh

The Cabinet has approved to procure school bags for over three lakh students of government schools across the state under the Atal School Vardi Yojna at Rs 9 crore.

The decision was taken by the Cabinet at its meeting chaired by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur here today. It gave approval for the procurement, supply and distribution of school bags for classes 1st, 3rd, 6th and 9th. This will be done on the basis of e-tender by HP Civil Supplies Corporation Ltd. for 2020-21 from L-1 bidder Highspirit Commercial Ventures Private Ltd.

The Cabinet also approved the Draft Electric Vehicle Policy to promote the sustainable transport system for making Himachal a global hub for electric mobility development and manufacturing of electric vehicles. The effort will also be made to privatise charging for electric vehicles, besides providing subsidy and incentives to the electric vehicle manufacturing companies.

It gave relief to toll firms for 2020-21 keeping in view the representations received from toll lessees as inward traffic was severely affected due to Covid from June 2020 to September 2020.

It also gave its nod to introduce the Himachal Pradesh (Establishment and Regulation) Bill, 2021, in the Assembly for setting up Sardar Patel University at Mandi. It decided to open a new sub tehsil at Rey in Fatehpur tehsil of Kangra and upgrade the sub tehsil, Junga, to tehsil.

It was decided to implement Swaran Jayanti Paramparagat Beej Suraksha Avam Samvardhan Yojna.

The Cabinet also gave the ex-post facto approval to the Medswan Foundation for operation and maintenance of 108 and 102 ambulances along with the call centre Services for four years.

It also gave its nod to reduce the stamp duty to Rs 10 on the hypothecation agreements for loan sanctioned to street vendors, rehriwala, etc under the PM Seva Nidhi Scheme.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi would give a boost to the election campaign of ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Uttarakhand on December 4 from Dehradun. In an attempt to woo the people of Uttarakhand ahead of the crucial assembly election slated in early 2022, the PM is expected to make many important announcements during his visit.

The chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami informed media persons here on Monday that the PM would lay the foundation stones of projects worth Rs 26,000 Crore and inaugurate works of Rs 4,000 Crore during his visit. In an attempt to make maximum benefit of the PM’s visit, the state unit of Uttarakhand BJP has thrown its full might to make the PMs rally a huge success. The party has also given individual targets to the leaders of the party. The national president of the BJP J P Nadda too is keeping a close eye on the preparations for the visit of PM to Dehradun.

UP: Centralised portal to provide info on blood availability

To facilitate patients with requirement of blood, the state medical Education department will soon launch a centralized portal to provide real-time information about the number of units available in blood banks across the state.

Holding placards displaying AIDS awareness messages and benefits of blood donation, around 200 students from various schools across the city took part in the rally. A band marched alongside the students and played patriotic songs. Earlier, a group of 13 students presented a street play depicting the importance of voluntary blood donation.

The Governor appreciated the play and said every college should organise voluntary blood donation camps even if only 10 students were willing to donate. She also gave gifts to 15 HIV negative children of HIV positive parents.

The fifth edition of the National Family Health Survey (NFHS) confirmed signs of a demographic shift in India. For the first time since the NFHS began in 1992, the proportion of women exceeded men: there were 1,020 women for 1,000 men. In the last edition of the survey in 2015-16, there were 991 women for every 1,000 men.

In Jharkhand the sex ratio is even better than national Average. In Jharkhand the number of females per thousand males has gone up to 1050. In the last survey, this figure was 1002. In rural areas, the situation is much better. There, the number of Women per thousand men has increased to 1070, while in urban areas this figure is 989.

However, only the decadal census is considered the official marker of Population trends in India and has a wider surveillance programme. The NFHS surveys are smaller but are conducted at the district level and are a pointer to the future.

The survey has also shown the effect of Beti Bachao- Beti Padhao campaign in Jharkhand. The survey pointed out indicators showing improvements in the Health and social sector of women as well. Marriage of girls under the age of 18 has declined. Earlier 37.9 per cent of girls were married before the age of 18. Now this Percentage has come down to 32.2. Although this is also much more than many states of the country, there has also been a decrease in the number of men married before the age of 21. It was 30.5 per cent in the last survey, which has now come down to 22.7 per cent.

The survey also pointed out that family planning measures is gaining momentum in Jharkhand. The survey pointed out that in 2020-21, 61.70 per cent of couples adopted family planning, compared to 40.4 per cent earlier.

The survey also pointed out various indictors in which state have shown improvement. As per the survey, 64.50 per cent of girls (above six years of age) went to school 94.30 per cent of the population was getting electricity 86.6 per cent of the clean water 75.80 per cent of women preferring delivery of child in hospitals 79.2 per cent of children were fully vaccinated among others.

Bihar CM dedicates to nation NTPC’s three power units of total 1,160 MW at Barh and Barauni

BiharCM Nitish Kumar dedicated to the nation the NTPCs three power generating units of total 1,160 MW capacity at Barauni andBarh, in the presence of Union minister of power and new & R K Singh.

The power generating units which were dedicated to the nation are Stage-II 500 MW (2 X 250 MW) of NTPC Barauni Thermal Power Station (BTPS) and Unit No-1 (660 MW) of NTPC Barh Super Thermal Power Station (BSTPS).

Nitish also inspected different works and ongoing projects in the premise of the BSTPS which was set up at his personal efforts.

Before taking over as the Bihar CM in November, 2005, Nitish used to represent Barh constituency in the Lok Sabha. He was elected as theLok Sabhamember from Barh for consecutive five times since 1989.

Addressing a function at Barh after dedicating the unit no-1 (660 MW) of the BSTPS to the nation, Bihar CM said that one of the three proposed units of 660 MW started generating power from November 12. But it was formally inaugurated today. The second unit will be inaugurated next year, while the third unit will start power generation a year after the next year, Nitish said.

The Mission Parivar Vikas (MPV) scheme will now cover the entire state of Chhattisgarh to improve in quality and availability the family welfare schemes.

The National Health Mission in 2017 launched the Mission Parivar Vikas Yojana under the Family Welfare programme to accelerate access to high quality family planning choices based on information, reliable Services and supplies within a rights-based framework in 146 districts of seven states where the gross fertility was more than 3 percent.

In Chhattisgarh, the scheme was implemented in Kawardha and Surguja districts.

The target in the first category is reduction of 0.3 points per year in districts having 4 or more than 4 gross fertility rates. In the second category the target reduction is 0.2 points per annum in districts having a gross fertility rate from 3.5 to 4.0.

The third category is of districts having gross fertility rate from 3.0 to 3.5 with a target to bring it down by 0.1 points.

Thus, the states target is to bring the gross fertility rate to its replacement level of 2.1 by 2025 in the districts.

Under the enhanced compensation scheme, sterilization services will be encouraged, especially in the districts with high fertility. More financial incentives will be given to the Mitanin and the beneficiaries.

India’s First Cyber Tehsil Will Be Created By MP

The Madhya Pradesh Cabinet has accepted the proposal to establish cyber tehsils in the state.

Highlights:

MP will then be the first state in the country to establish a cyber tehsil. Cyber Tehsil will make the mutation process simple, and anyone from all throughout the state will be able to use it. In the event of uncontested land, the conversion procedure will become more convenient as a result of this.

Madhya Pradesh’s Home Minister also announced that the Cabinet has agreed to begin the ‘Urja Saksharta Abhiyan’ on November 25 to educate residents about energy.

This initiative will involve schools, colleges, and the general public. Madhya Pradesh will be the first state in India to launch a large-scale energy Literacy initiative.

Government ofGujaratannounced on Monday that it will host aVibrant Gujaratstartup summit just ahead of the Vibrant Gujarat global summit 2022 on January 9, 2022. The idea behind organising the summit is to bring together innovators, entrepreneurs and venture capitalists on one platform.

The ‘Vibrant Gujarat startup summit’ will have budding and emerging startups, unicorns, funding agencies, incubators, leaders and MSMEs coming together at the event to be organised at the campus of iCreate (International Centre for Entrepreneurship and Technology) near Ahmedabad.

The flagship event will feature a Unicorn Conclave witnessing the participation of around a dozen Unicorn founders and over 1,000 Gujarat-based startups. The summit will also see participation from over 1,000 Gujarat-based startups, over 150 startup incubators, hundreds of industry leaders, and MSMEs.
