Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar will launch the Auto Appeal Software programme of Haryana Right to Service Commission on Wednesday. With this, Haryana will become the first State in the country to introduce such a system.

Chief Commissioner of Haryana Right To Service Commission, TC Gupta said that if a person’s work is not done within stipulated time period and that work comes under the purview of the Right to Service Act, then the application under the Auto Appeal Software will go to the Appellate Authority. If the work is still pending, then the application will go to the higher authority. If work is still pending at both these levels, then the application will come to the Commission, he said.

Gupta said that with the introduction of Auto Appeal Software, people will get a huge relief and their work will be done within a stipulated time frame. Officers or employees will no longer be able to adopt a casual Attitude. Failure to do so may result in action from the clerk to the head of the department, he said.

He said that if an officer or employee is fined thrice, he may also have to lose his job.

The Right To Service score on Antyodaya Saral Portal comes out to 10. Barring two-three districts in the state, the RTS score of almost all the districts is appropriate, but still further improvements are required. However, it has also been seen that many departments have low RTS scores and they have been directed to further improve it, Gupta said.

To mark the 400th birth anniversary of Sikhs ninth master, Guru Tegh Bahadur, Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh on Friday virtually laid the foundation stone of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur State University of Law, Tarn Taran, directing the Finance Department to ensure sufficient funds for timely operationalisation of the Institution.

The Chief Minister, on the occasion, also launched commemorative Gold and Silver coins to mark the birth anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur. Making it clear that shortage of finances would not be allowed to hold up Education projects in the State, the Chief Minister termed it the most important focus area to enable the youth of Punjab to compete with the world. He lauded the concerned Department for enabling the State to become number 1 in school education in the country. Citing education as a priority sector, the Chief Minister said that after achieving top position in School Education, his next aim is to make Punjab No.1 in Higher Education and Technical Education also.

In line with the State Governments thrust on education, the Chief Minister said that he will inaugurate 18 new fully functional degree colleges and 25 ITIs on October 2. Education must keep pace with times, he stressed, underscoring the need for constant evolution to ensure that education does not become irrelevant in the coming decades.

Though Law Degrees are also being conferred by the Dev University, Punjabi University, and Panjab University, apart from law being taught in about 30 colleges of the State, there was only one Law University (Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Patiala) in the State so far, he pointed out, adding that this new university will enable specialised law courses to be offered to the states youth.

Himachal Pradesh University(HPU) in Shimla is going to set up hi-tech virtual classroom in each teaching department.

Prof Sikander Kumar, vice-chancellor, also said university is also going to provide laptop to all the teachers to strengthen online Education. He said tenders for the same have already been invited.

According to him,digitisationwork of library has already been completed.
Prof Kumar said university would provide Rs 50,000 to each teacher as project funding to produce quality research work. He said grant of Rs 1 lakh is also being given to each department for academic activities.

He said in 2019, four new departments were started in the University Institute of Technology, including civil, electrical, electronics & Communication engineering and applied sciences & humanities. Defense studies, library science (UG & PG), Environment science and Microbiology were introduced last year.

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) in association with Dehradun Smart City Limited (DSCL) has prepared a work plan to start Eat Right Smart City programme to provide a healthful, safe and sustainable food environment to people. Under this programme, the officials will also work on developing a clean street food hub by marking such eateries which are famous among locals and tourists. The district food safety officer and a designated officer of the programme, PC Joshi informed this while adding that traditional local delicacies and local organic fruits and vegetables will also be promoted under this programme. Joshi said that in the initial phase, the officials are working on connecting sweet shops, restaurants, hotels, street food vendors, meat shops and other eateries located in the smart city area with this programme to promote safe and healthy food in campuses like workplaces, schools, colleges and universities among others.

Subsequently, a group of 25 to 50 owners of eateries and some local vendors will be formed to make a clean street food hub and Fssai authorised training will be provided to these group members to run their business more effectively, stated Joshi. He said that marked vendors and owners can take help of the training to eliminate any issues within the stipulated time frame under FSSAI. Joshi said that with this programme, FSSAI aims to develop a plan that supports a healthy, safe and sustainable food Environment supported by institutional, physical, social and economic along with the application of smart solutions to combat food related issues in a smart city. He said that the administration will also take help from the Municipal Corporation of Dehradun (MCD) and local business associations for the smooth operation of the programme.

Thegovernmenthas approved the master plan for the upcomingNoida International Airport(NIA) which will begin operations in about three years by handling 1.2 crore passengers annually with one terminal and a runway.

The master plan, prepared byaviationconsultants Landrum & Brown and Zurich Airport International, has been cleared by DGCA, AAI, BCAS and environmental authorities.

The NIA masterplan also has provision for General Corporate Aviation facilities, including a VVIP terminal, a General Aviation Terminal and Heli taxi pads. These facilities will cater to the needs of state dignitaries, handle private jet movements and helicopters.

Oyster mushroom farming has been picking up in Katihar district for the past 3-4 years.The gestation period as well as critical input cost for oyster mushroom farming is less, compared to milky white and button mushrooms. Oyster mushrooms get ready for harvesting in 20-25 days. The oyster mushroom is sold at Rs200/kg while milky white mushroom is available at Rs300/kg and button mushroom at Rs150-200/kg.

Mushroom farming is also good for landless people as well as residue crop management, besides, keeping the ECOLOGY and Environment safe. The burning of crops residue such as stubble of maize, wheat and paddy causes ENVIRONMENT POLLUTION. But, stubbles are used in the mushroom farming.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will distribute Rs 627 crore to 79 thousand 39 beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) in Khandwa.

Urban Development and Housing Minister Bhupendra Singh has informed that Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) was launched in the year 2015 by the Prime Minister with the objective of providing concrete houses to every citizen of the country. Under various components of the scheme, 8.37 lakh houses have been approved in the state. Out of these, the houses of 3.33 lakh beneficiaries have been completed. The construction of the remaining houses is also in progress. Several innovations have been made for effective implementation of the scheme in Madhya Pradesh. Pattas of residential land has also been provided to landless families.

Power-surplus Madhya Pradesh buys electricity to avoid cuts

Despite being a power-surplus state, there were unscheduled power cuts in Madhya Pradesh in the past few days.

Now, there are no power cuts as additional power is being purchased, said sources. There was no unscheduled power cut on August 30 in official records, but the reports mention additional power purchase of around 1,163 MW that day.

Despite the unexpected increase, peak demand reached only 11,000MW, which is half the amount for which MP has PPAs.

The Gujarat government has decided to stop supplying dam water for irrigation and will reserve all currently available water in dams for drinking purposes only, due to major deficit in rainfall.

The 206 Dams in the state have only 51% water, including the Sardar Sarovar dam which is filled only to 49.2% of its capacity. TheSSNLhas 4,339.52 million cubic metre (MCM) of water which was 4,310MCM on August 26.

Of the 206 dams in the state, only seven dams have water stored to 90% of capacity or more, eight have between 80% and 90%. Only 11% of dams have more than 70% storage. Officials said that one of every four dams in the state have reached less than 10% of their storage.
The data shows that 63 dams have storage between 30% and 10%, and 185 dams in the state have less than 70% water.
