Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Tuesday congratulated Singhraj Adhana for winning the bronze medal in shooting at the ongoing Paralympic Games in Tokyo and announced a cash reward of Rs 2.5 crore and a government job for him.

The Chief Minister said that winning the bronze medal in P1 Men’s 10m Air Pistol event at Tokyo Paralympics is the result of Singhraj Adhana’s sheer determination. He has won the hearts of the people of Haryana as well as the whole of India, said the Chief Minister.

Khattar said that as per its Sports Policy, the is giving equal Awards, government jobs and other facilities to Paralympic players as being given to the general sportspersons. He congratulated Singhraj Adhana and wished him a bright future.

Fulfilling a major poll promise, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Tuesday launched the enhanced Social Security pension of Rs 1,500 per month a threefold increase from Rs 500 given earlier.

The Chief Minister, during a launching event, claimed that out of 547 poll promises made in the manifesto, 422 have already been fully implemented, 52 partially while 59 are yet to be implemented.

Notably, people from across the state virtually joined the event at nearly 4,000 different locations while several Ministers, MLAs, and other peoples representatives participated at 400 functions organized in different parts of the State for disbursal of cheques of enhanced social security pension.

The states Social Security, Women and Child Development Minister Aruna Chaudhary lauded the Chief Minister to double the social security pension from Rs 750 to Rs 1500 per month from July 1, 2021, to 27 lakh old age, widow, destitute and handicapped beneficiaries.

Himachal Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur on Sunday said that the State Government is committed to ensure overall development of the tribal areas.

As a tribute to former UP chief ministerKalyan Singh, the UP government on Monday announced that one road each in six districts Ayodhya, Lucknow, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Etah and Prayagraj would be renamed after the stalwart saffron party leader who passed away in Lucknow on August 21.

Sources said PWD is contemplating renaming the road leading to Ramjanmabhoomi in Ayodhya where the Ram Temple is coming up as Kalyan Singh Marg.
The other five districts, too, have been strategically selected. Prayagraj is an important Hindu religious centre, while Lucknow is the state capital. Atrauli in Aligarh was Kalyans birthplace and he won nine UP assembly from the seat since 1967. He lost it only in 1980 to Anwar Khan of Congress. After leaving the BJP in 1999, he had formed Jan Kranti Party (Rashtrawadi) and won from Atrauli in 2002 assembly elections.

Jharkhand HRD Minister Jagarnath Mahato informed a delegation of para teachers that the Government has taken the decision to accommodate demands of para teachers from pay hike to regularisation of their service.

The Minister informed the delegation that the Jharkhand government is working on the proposal on the line of the Bihar Government where para teachers too had carried agitation for their demands.

At present there are around 65,000 para teachers working in Jharkhand and out of these, 13000 teachers are TET qualified. Once their service is regularised para teachers will be able to work till 60 years of age. They will be entitled for a pay scale of Rs 5,200-Rs20,000 besides three percent increase in pay scale per year.

Bihar CMNitish Kumar made an aerial survey of flood-affected areas in Darbhanga and Madhubani districts and asked the district magistrates concerned to ensure that the people staying at the relief camps do not face any inconvenience.

The tilemakers in Morbi have decided to raise prices to pass on the increased production cost, which has gone up by around 15% due to increase in prices of natural gas, raw materials, coal as well as a surge in transportation cost following spiralling diesel prices, said players.
