Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh on Monday asked the Invest Punjab to work out a model where incentives for industry can be given as per needs of the industry on a case to case basis.

The Chief Minister, chairing the third meeting of the Board of Governors of Punjab Bureau of Promotion (PBIP) through video conferencing, said that the recently-passed legislation on anti-red tapeism as a part of Governments reforms agenda for improving delivery of Services to public and Ease of Doing Business to Industry has already been put in place so as to re-engineer the Government procedures and make it more investor friendly.

The Chief Minister categorically said that the Governments aim should be to facilitate every prospective entrepreneur or industrialist to be a part of Punjab’s overall industrial development and prosperity.

To facilitate the home isolated Covid-19 patients, the State Government has launched Himachal Covid Care mobile app to connect asymptomatic or mildly symptomatic patients with their designated doctors. Through this app, doctors will be able to monitor the health status of Covid-19 positive patients regularly and make quick decision regarding hospitalization of the critical patient, if required.

Around 90 percent of over 28000 active cases in the state are under Home isolation.

The spokesman said that the app enables Covid-19 patients to self register themselves and provide their vital symptoms on the app which would be monitored by the assigned doctors. This mobile app would provide an online platform to all the essential service providers and users like patients, doctors and chief medical officers, block medical officers etc.

The app has features of prescribing medicines, triaging patients whose condition is deteriorating and required to be shifted to a Health care facility. The administrators like CMO and BMO in the districts and the State administrative officers can also monitor the health parameters of patients and also supervise the working of the district team, he said.

Soon, a new parking lot policy for the state

TheUttarakhand HousingandUrban Development Authoritywill soon be introducing aparkinglot policy for the state. According to the officials, the policy has already been prepared and the final suggestions are being incorporated in the draft.

The policy is being considered crucial in the wake of an increase in the traffic volume in the hill districts.

As per the policy document available on the UHUDA website, various models have been proposed to develop surface parking, multilevel parking and automated parking facilities.

The number of boys (27,851) with Covid-19 infection was higher than the girls (20,839). Also, 1.42 lakh cases among minors were recorded in the age group of 11-20 years. Together, it formed about 11.3% of the total caseload in the state.

The data is crucial in view of the concerns that more children could get infection in the anticipated third wave. Global estimates indicate that about 40% of cases in the third wave could affect minors.

Among the steps taken by the government under the Leadership of CMYogi Adityanath, development of paediatric intensive care units and training of required workforce are important.

The first consignment of GI certified Shahi Litchi from Bihar was exported to the United Kingdom.About Shahi Litchi:

Shahi litchi was the fourth agricultural product in Bihar to receive GI certification in 2018, following Jardalu mango, Katarni rice, and Magahi paan.

The GI registration of Shahi Litchi is carried out by the Litchi Growers Association in Muzaffarpur, Bihar.

Muzzafarpur, Vaishali, Samastipur, Champaran, Begusarai districts and surrounding areas in Bihar have a favourable Climate for growing Shahi Litchi.

This litchi variety is more juicy and pulpier than other varieties in other parts of the country.

Because of the humid conditions and alluvial , the conditions in Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, and surrounding areas are ideal for litchi cultivation.

Litchi cultivation was first introduced in India in Bengal, and it quickly spread to other states such as Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Punjab.

India is the world’s second-largest producer of litchi, with Bihar being the leading state in the country.

The Chhattisgarh government announced that registration will be mandatory to benefit from its flagship Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana.

The new order will be effective from the current Kharif season 2021.

According to the Agriculture-notes-for-state-psc-exams”>Agriculture-development”>AGRICULTURE DEVELOPMENT, Farmers Welfare and Bio Technology Department, an online registration has to be done from June 1 to September 30 to get the governments assistance in the form of input subsidy.

An input subsidy of Rs 9,000 per acre is provided to promote agricultural production.

Landholder farmers of all categories and all forest title holders will be eligible to get the benefits but they must be producers of crops and their farm land must not be idle, the new order said.

Under the scheme, the farmers registered on portal will be paid by Direct Bank Transfer (DBT) through the nodal banks.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that corona infection is now being controlled in the State. The number of those testing positive is steadily decreasing, but it is necessary to maintain caution right now. About 76 thousand tests were conducted yesterday, out of which only 1640 came positive and 4,995 people got healthy. The State’s recovery rate has increased to 95%. The positivity rate has now come down to 2.1%. Chouhan said this in a message issued to the media from his residence.

The Chief Minister said that we have to stop corona infection and also restore life. Therefore, the Crisis Management Committees of District, Janpad, Ward and Gram Panchayats will have to decide to free their area from Corona Curfew and gradually unlock it as per the Corona Guideline.

Gujarat: Sabarmati Riverfront projects Phase-II looks east

Along with the development of the western bank of Sabarmati Riverfront, that of the eastern bank and an extension on both the sides are soon to be executed as part of the second phase of the riverfront development project. The Sabarmati Riverfront Development Corporation Limited announced the commencement of the Phase-II of the project.

The plan for the extension includes a stepped embankment where trees have been planted for active and green development.

Rajasthan to organise special camps to vaccinate people with disabilities

The stateshealth departmenthas issued an order to organise special vaccination camps for persons with disabilities (PwDs) who are above 18 years at centres run by NGOs or private organisations after registering 100 or more such people.

The decision follows a notice sent by theState Human Rights Commission(SHRC) which took cognizance of the matter. The order also stated that if an NGO or a private organisation manages to register only less than 100 PwDs, they will be given special priority to get inoculated at the nearest Covid vaccination centre.
