Haryana to replace centuries-old ‘Jareeb’ system

Haryanahas decided to do away with the ancient surveying chain, called Jareeb, used for ages to measure land. For centuries,Jareebhas enabled land to be accurately surveyed and plotted, for legal and commercial purposes. This will now be replaced by a modern measurement system.

“A modern technology-based land measurement system will be put in place to replace the age-old chain link (Jareeb) measurement. This will provide greater accuracy and reliability in the measurement of land and reduce the scope for disputes,” Haryana chief ministerManohar Lal Khattarsaid in his Budget speech earlier this week.

Haryana also plans to undertake several reforms for the modernisation of the land records system and replace old Persian or Urdu terminology. According to senior officials of the Haryana revenue department, this terminology is outdated now as it has no significance at the present time and has become problematic for the functioning of the department.

The Survey of Villages Abadi and Mapping with Improvised Technology in Village Areas (SVAMITVA) portion of the Haryana LargeScale Mapping(HaLSM) project has concluded with 25.44 lakh properties mapped. Title deeds and ownership rights have been recognised in favour of the owners of these properties for the first time in HISTORY.

CM launches Schools of Eminence, Punjab to get quality education

Describing the Schools of Eminence as a revolutionary step for ensuring the golden future of the students, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Saturday said that it was a giant leap forward towards becoming a real frontrunner in the field of Education.

The CM said that as these governments ignored an important sector like education so the state is behind in this field. He said that several students were forced to leave their education in between thereby ruining their bright future. Mann said that due to lack of Resources and laxity of previous governments girls were not able to pursue their education.

He said that these 117 schools of eminence being set up in 23 districts of state are temples of quality education. He said that the purpose of setting up these schools is to give wings to the dreams of the bright students of government schools. Mann envisioned that these schools will enable the students to compete with their convent educated peers in various competitive exams across the country.

The CM said the tough geological conditions of the state necessitated the construction of heliports. Uttarakhand: Rs 167 crore MoU signed for Yamunotri ropeway; to cut travel time to 20 mins

TheUttarakhandtourism department, in the presence of chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, signed a Rs 166.8 crore memorandum of understanding (MoU) with two private firms for the ambitiousYamunotri ropewayproject.

The 3.38km ropeway would be mono-cable detachable type with the capacity of carrying 500 people in an hour. The lower terminal would be made on a 1.7 hectare land at Kharsali and the upper terminal at Yamunotri on 0.9 hectare land.
Using the ropeway, pilgrims would be able to cover the five km distance, presently covered by trekking, in a span of just 20 minutes.
The ropeway is regarded as an important one as pilgrims in the past have lost their lives while trekking on the tough route.

IITR, RMLAU sign MoU for research work

Students of Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University (RMLAU), Ayodhya will soon get an opportunity to learn and assist the leading scientists of the country at CSIR-Indian Institute of Toxicology Research (IITR).

IITR, in return, will get bright students from RMLAU as project assistants and for other research-related work.

An MoU for an academic collaboration between the two institutes was signed during the one week one lab event.

He said during the pandemic when the country’s GDP Growth rate was minus 6.6%, Jharkhand managed a GDP growth rate of minus 5.5% in 2020-21, which soon bounced back to 8.2% in the year 2021-22.

Bihar records 10.9% growth rate, third highest in country

Bihar recorded the third highest Growth rate of 10.98% at constant price (2011-12) in its gross state domestic product (GSDP) during the 2021-22 FY among all the states in the country. It has marked the return of the state’s economy to the ‘pre-Covid-19 years’, implying that the disruptions caused to the economy by the coronavirus pandemic in 2019-20 and 2020-21 have been nearly overcome.
This has been brought out by the 2022-23 Economic Survey Report (ESR) on the state’s economy tabled by state finance ministerVijay Kumar Choudharyin the assembly.

While the state’s GSDP at constant price was Rs 4.28 lakh crore and Rs6.75 lakh at current price in 2021-22, the resulting per capita income was Rs34,465 at constant price and Rs 54,383 at current price.

The ESR 2022-23 has also noted that the high growth rate that Bihar recorded — scoring even better than the national Average of 8.68% during the same fiscal year – was made possible by the fact that the state did not suffer natural disaster (floods and drought) in 2021-22.

The significance of the states performance on the recovery process from the coronavirus pandemic years could be gauged from the fact that the growth rate was 4.4% during 2019-20 and negative (-) 3.2 per cent during 2020-21 with minus growth rates recorded in 14 sectors.

While nine sectors recorded growth rate in two digits, one in three digits and five others on the higher side of the single digit, the growth rate in the (Agriculture-notes-for-state-psc-exams”>Agriculture and allied activities) was 9.6%, in the secondary (manufacturing) sector 3.8% and in the tertiary (Services) sector 13.3%, the report said. The share of the primary sector in the state’s economy was 21.2%, followed by 18.1% of the secondary and 60.7% of the tertiary sectors.

Ethanol plant to come up in Kondagaon

Chhattisgarhs first ethanol plant based on maize processing to come up at tribal-affected Kokodi in Kondagaon district. The processing plant is being built at a cost of Rs 140 crore. This is the first plant being set up in the cooperative sector.
More than 45000 farmers will be directly benefited and a target is set to complete the processing plant by June this year. The construction work of the warehouse of the plant is currently going on. The work of the Boiling section is also being done at a rapid pace

20% plots to be reserved for SC/ST category to set-up industry

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced that a huge and grand temple of Sant Ravidas would be built at Badtuma near Sagar at a cost of Rs. 100 crore. Couplets and teachings of Sant Ravidas will be engraved on the walls of the temple. The Personality and work of Sant Ravidas will also be displayed in the temple premises.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the sisters and daughters are highly respected in the state. No distinction is made between men and Women. After Ladli Laxmi Yojana for daughters, now Ladli Bahna Yojana has been launched for sisters, in which one thousand rupees will be given to poor and middle class sisters. Food, Education, medicine, house, EMPLOYMENT are being ensured for everyone in the state. There is no caste distinction in the state, no one is big or small, everyone is equal, everyone has equal opportunity and everyone is respected equally.

Chouhan said that under the Mukhya Mantri Teerth-Darshan Yojana, a pilgrimage train will go from Madhya Pradesh to Banaras, the birthplace of Sant Ravidas.

He announced that 20 percent of the land would be reserved for SC and ST youth to set-up industries. In the MSME cluster policy, a cluster will be given to the SC industrialists. Along with this, land will be given to SC category for setting-up allotted petrol pumps.

Nodal officers will be appointed in the Industries Department to guide the SC category. Relaxation will also be given in the store purchase rule in the service and trading center. Chouhan said that to ensure the safety of sanitation workers, now the manholes will be cleaned with only machines.

Gujarat engineering exports grew by 7% in April to December period

The engineering sector inGujaratsaw exports grow despite negative global factors such as high and the Ukraine-Russia war.

The Indian engineering Industry registered exports worth $69 billion in April to December 2022, about 7% higher than the same period of the previous year.
Experts say machinery demand has risen and has driven this Growth. Gujarat accounts for around 36% of India’s engineering exports, according to data from theEngineering Exports Promotion Council(EEPC).

According to EEPC, from April to December 2021, Indian engineering exports were worth $64 billion, and grew by 7.8% to $69 billion in April-December 2022. However, December exports registered a decrease of about 3%.

Gujarat is a leading state in the engineering sector and companies serve demand for machinery from industries like automobiles, textiles and chemicals as well as supplying CNC machines, boilers and brass parts to many countries.
