Haryana set to host 26th All India Forest Sports Meet

Haryanais ready for a mega Sports event as the 26thAll India Forest Sports Meetis being organized soon atPanchkula.

Haryana CMManohar Lal Khattar released the Logo and Mascot of the 26th All India Forest Sports Meet at his residence.

Khattar said it is a matter of pride that Haryana is the host of the 26th All India Forest Sports Meet. Prior to this, the sports meet has been successfully organized twice in Haryana; 10th meet in the year 2003 and 13th meet in 2013.

The ministry of Environment and forest, Government of India, organizes the All India Forests Sports Meet on an annual basis; the responsibility of which is assigned to a state. With the aim to promote sports in the Forest Department, the 1st All India Forest Sports Meet was organized at Hyderabad in the year 1993 and till date, this meet has been organized 25 times.

Punjab CM holds meeting with industrial houses for investments in state

Extending a red carpet welcome to the top honchos of the , Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Monday invited them to invest in the State to give boost to the industrial Growth and open doors of prosperity for the youth.

Holding detailed parleys with Godrej, Hindustan Unilever, Mafatlal group, Mahindra & Mahindra, Jindal Steels and others, Mann showcased the state as the most preferred destination to these industrial units, also asking them to invest in the state.

Mann also apprised them that the State Government is making strenuous efforts to further strengthen the single window system for facilitating the investors.

During a meeting with the representatives of Hindustan Unilever, the Chief Minister asked them to expand their existing plant for tomato ketchup manufacturing in Nabha. The State Government will encourage the states farmers to sow tomatoes in Punjab thereby improving their economic lot. The company assured Mann that they will explore the feasibility of setting up their unit in the state.

The Chief Minister also had a detailed meeting with a delegation of Thyrocare an Indian multinational chain of diagnostic and preventive care laboratories. During the meeting, he apprised the companys representatives that the State Government is laying major thrust on imparting quality healthcare Services to the people. Mann also invited the company to set up a chain of laboratories in the state to benefit the people.

Non-Himachalis allowed to set up 1 MW to 5 MW solar power projects

Himurja, state governments nodal agency for programmes, has opened the doors for all power producers to set up ground-mounted solar power projects having capacity ranging from 1 MW to 5 MW.

Till now, only the Himachalis were allowed to set up solar power projects up to 5 MW capacity

The government has given Himurja the target of allotting projects of 100 MW combined capacity during this financial year250KW to 1MW solar projects having 30 MW combined capacity will be reserved for bona fide Himachalis

All solar power producers will be eligible to apply for the remaining 70 MW combined capacity as regards 1 MW to 5 MW projects

Uttarakhand police earned Rs 37.89 crore from challans last year

Uttarakhand policechallaned 6,92,000 vehicles and earned Rs 37.89 crore in 2022, according to information provided by the Police headquarters to Right To Information activist Nadeem Uddin.

Samsung in talks with Lucknow University for skill sector

A delegation from Samsung, led bySamsungIndia and Southwest Asia CEO, JB Park met chief ministerYogi Adityanath.

The delegation informed him that in addition to having set up a mobile manufacturing unit in the state, the company was also keen to enter the skill upgradation sector. Park said that the company was in touch with Lucknow University for this and a process had been initiated.

Park thanked the for having given the company support for its various investments. He said that during the Covid period, when Samsung units were shutting down across the world, its mobile manufacturing plant in Noida was functioning without any problem.

The CM assured the delegation that the company would be provided full support from the government as per the policy in place for the sector. He also expressed hope that in the near future, Samsung would also invest in various other sectors in UP.

Fifth mining conclave organised in Ranchi

Varsities in Bihar to introduce disaster management courses

All the universities inBiharwill introduce courses in Disaster Management from the next academic session (2023-24).

This was announced by the Education departments additional chief secretary Dipak Kumar Singh at a meeting convened by the Bihar State Disaster Management Authority (BSDMA) in collaboration with the National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM), New Delhi, here on Wednesday. The meeting was attended by the vice-chancellors of Patna and Open universities, principal secretary to the governor,NIDMrepresentative and other officials of the State Government. The vice-chairman ofBSDMA,Uday Kant Mishra, presided.

The state universities were asked to prepare a work plan for introduction of these courses. The universities will have to seek approval of their statutory committees like board of studies, academic council, syndicate and senate for introducing the courses. The final assent to the ordinance and regulations of these courses would have to be obtained from the governor.

The BSDMA authorities assured the universities that all necessary help would be extended to the universities and their constituent colleges in training the supporting TEACHING and non-teaching staff to be engaged in the courses.

Committed for generating employment to ruralites: CM

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel reiterated his commitment to generate EMPLOYMENT in villages to prevent Migration to urban areas.

Addressing a public interaction programme in village Bhansoj in Arang assembly constituency of Raipur district, he said the number of income-oriented activities in the Rural Industrial Parks will be increased to boost employment opportunities.

To ensure employment to rural youths, a new policy for rural industries will be formulated soon on the lines of the new Industrial Policy of the state,” he said.

During the programme, the Chief Minister took direct feedback from villagers regarding the governments welfare schemes.

He said youths will be provided employment by starting small-scale village industries in the Rural Industrial Parks. The aims is to empower rural youths, he said. He said the government was still waiting for the Centres nod to produce ethanol from paddy. If clearance is given, a huge amount of employment will be generated, he said.

Urban Administration and Development Minister Dr. Shiv Kumar Daharia was present in the programme.

MPs budget will be Modern Budget

The budget of this year’s election in Madhya Pradesh is going to be special. According to the information received, this time there will be a ‘Modern Budget’. The special thing is that the Shivraj government of Madhya Pradesh has a special focus on the tribal community of the state. In such a situation, due to the election year, tribals will also be given priority in the budget this year.
In this regard, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that no stone will be left unturned to strengthen the state’s economy. He also said that it will be our priority to provide EMPLOYMENT to the villagers in the village itself. An amount of more than 48 thousand crore rupees has been planned to be spent on development.

The Chief Minister also said that, through this budget, our efforts will also be to take maximum advantage of the provisions in the budget of the Government of India. Four tourist circuits will be developed in the state. For this, Rs 400 crore will be spent in the financial year.

Live-streaming: Pilot project launched in lower courts

The pilot project to live-stream proceedings in thelower courtsinGujaratwas launched

. The proceedings at the courts of 32 principal district judges and the court of principal judge of Ahmedabads city are now available on a YouTube channel.

Launching the project, the judicial officers lauded the Gujarat high courts initiative for making Gujarat the first state to live-stream the proceedings of its lower courts, calling it another step towards transparency. It was the Gujarat HC that first live-streamed its proceedings and now all the benches live-stream their proceedings.
