Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said every plant sowed in the State will be monitored with the help of geo-tagging scheme.

Besides this, to make the scheme successful, drone mapping will also be done, Khattar said while presiding over the review meeting of the plantation campaign and geo-tagging scheme of the Forest and Wildlife Department here.

A target has been set to plant three crore saplings in the State this year.

The Chief Minister directed the officers to work closely in this regard and formulate such a plan which ensures survival of maximum planted saplings.

Farmers get e-training in latest techniques

Confined to their villages due to Covid, many farmers have been attending webinars and online training programmes on latest techniques of direct seeding of rice (DSR) and other things related to farming.

Apart from online interaction, digital pamphlets shared by experts through WhatsApp groups and Social Media are also proving to be of great help to them.

Rs 400 cr ethanol plant to be set up in Una

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) will set up a Rs 400 crore grain-based ethanol plant with a capacity of 125 KL per day in Una district.

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said that the would provide about 70 acres for the plant and a rail-fed POL terminal of higher capacity.

Major raw materials for producing ethanol such as rice and maize will be procured from Kangra, Hamirpur, Bilaspur and Una districts, besides Hoshiarpur and Rupnagar districts of Punjab.

The government and various voluntary organisations have been providing ration and other relief material to people affected adversely by the Covid-19 pandemic. However, menstrual hygiene is one aspect which was not addressed by many. Considering this, one voluntary organisation is providing sanitary napkins to women in need amidst the pandemic.

The initiative of spreading awareness about menstrual hygiene started in May last year during the Covid-19 outbreak. The organisation started working on the outskirts of Dehradun like in villages around Ranipokhri where Women were told about the dos and donts to maintain menstrual hygiene and were provided with sanitary pads, face masks and sanitisers to keep themselves safe and healthy.

People living in the villages are not as aware of the seriousness of the pandemic so their volunteers are also visiting the Covid-19 affected villages where they distribute face masks, oxymeters, steamers, thermometers and medicines to the villagers.

Bihar: Agriculture department to distribute 1.13 lakh quintals of paddy seeds by June 30

The state Agriculture-notes-for-state-psc-exams”>Agriculture department has pulled up its socks to speed up distribution of seeds and help farmers in kharif season. The early arrival of southwest monsoon inBiharhas made the condition favourable for the farmers to sow paddy seeds.

The department has set the target to distribute 1.13 lakh quintals of paddy seeds, including 10,000 quintals of hybrid seeds (DRRH3, DRRH2, 27P31 and Arize) and the remaining of open pollinated variety seeds (IR-64, Swarna MTU-7029 and Sabour Shree). Under its Home delivery scheme, the districts have distributed seeds to 56,000 farmers against 1.60 lakh registration.

The agriculture experts feel the farmers in Bihar would get good output in this kharif season due to early arrival of monsoon, widespread rain and early sowing of paddy seeds.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has said that the Godhan Nyay Yojana is providing support to dairy business also.

People are very excited from the benefits of the scheme, he said, and added that people with business say their income has increased due to the sale of cow dung, he said.

Many dairy farmers have started buying milch cows, building sheds as well as buying motorcycles to increase their dairy business with the extra income earned from selling cow dung, an official Communication on Thursday quoted Baghel as saying.

Mahila Police Volunteer Scheme

Two districts of the state, Morena and Vidisha have been selected by the Central Government for the operation of Mahila Police Volunteer Scheme. Under the scheme, a woman police volunteer will be appointed in every village, ward, who will help in taking action against crimes against Women. She will be given an honorarium of Rs 1000 per month. The decision to change the name of the Women’s Crime Branch of the police to Women’s Security Wing was taken in the meeting.

Women’s desk in 700 police stations

Urja Mahila Help Desk is being operated in 700 police stations of the state to help women. Through these, relief and assistance is being provided to women in cases of crimes against women. Necessary counselling is also being done in cases of domestic harassment.

Command & Control Centre 2.0 launched in Gujarat to monitor implementation of various educational projects

Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani inaugurated hi-tech Command & Control Centre 2.0 (CCC 2.0) for the effective implementation of various educational projects as well as child-tracking and real-time monitoring of educational activities. The state-of-the-art CCC 2.0 will be useful for systematic monitoring of activities in 54,000 schools covering over 3 lakh teachers and 1 crore students across the state.

Gujarat has developed technology-based Command Control Centre 2.0 to monitor Education quality, student attendance, preparedness of TEACHING faculties.

The e-content includes animated Videos, simulations of experiments, self-study and self-assessment modules, and reference-supplementary literature. Students will be able to access these features from any device or platform.

PMAY-G: Rajasthans 31 districts out of 33 feature among top 100 in India

In a first, all districts of Rajasthan, except two, featured among the top 100 districts in the country in terms of performance under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Grameen (PMAY-G), states data received from the rural development department. Also, six districts ofRajasthanfeatured among the top 10 districts, 14 among the top 25 and 22 districts among the top 50 in the country.

The beneficiaries who get selected under the scheme, priorities should be fixed by filtering the names. Moreover, this time a new initiative has been taken to connect every house under PMAY-G with nutri gardens and it will be converged with MGNREGA. Also, information related to benefits provided to PMAY beneficiaries under Ujjwala scheme and power connection will be marked on the portal.
