Bolster industrial competitiveness: Assocham to Hry

The trade body AssochamsHaryanaState Development Council has submitted a memorandum to Haryana government, suggesting enhancement of competitiveness and sustainable industrial Growth. These suggestions were made byAssochamduring the pre-budget meeting preceding the state budget with the chief minister of Haryana.

The memorandum was submitted by Assocham to bolster the industrial competitiveness in areas like Skill development,MSME, and tourism.

Shedding Light on MSMEs, he said, Lot of efforts, allocations & schemes have been made by the Centre and state for MSME upliftment. ButUdyamregistration of just 11% at India level and 23% at state level is an indicator of MSME indifference & reluctance towards availment. Simplistic digital mobile-based ecosystem is the need of the hour.

Rs 1,010 cr to be spent on crop diversification

Agriculture-notes-for-state-psc-exams”>Agriculture Minister Virender Kanwar today said the second phase of the Himachal Pradesh Crop Diversification Promotion Project would be implemented in all 12 districts of the state and Rs 1,010 crore would be spent under the project to promote cultivation of crops other than those traditionally grown by farmers.

Kanwar said the first phase of the project was implemented in five districts through 250 sub-projects located in various panchayats. Agriculture such as Irrigation Network, mechanical farm machinery and community polyhouses were created to demonstrate new techniques to farmers.

The minister said the second phase of the project, funded by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), would be implemented through 296 sub-projects.

Taj Mahotsav 2022

The Taj Mahotsav 2022 is scheduled to happen from March 20 to March 29, 2022.

It is a 10-day cultural festival, held in Agra each year.

It is the most well-known art, craft, gourmet, and culture festival, held at the crossroads of winter and spring.

Earlier it was scheduled to take from February 18 February 27.

Jharkhand: Bhojpuri, Maghi dropped from list of regional languages in Bokaro and Dhanbad districts

The Hemant Soren government on Friday removed Bhojpuri and Magahi from the list of regional languages in Bokaro and Dhanbad districts for district-level EMPLOYMENT examinations to be held by the state staff selection commission.
The move was aimed at quelling the ongoing language row which has been raging in the area for weeks.

In an order, the state department of personnel, Administrative Reforms and Rajbhasha nullified its previous notification of December 24 last year, which subsequently triggered the language row by pro-tribal outfits.

It also notified Bhojpuri and Magahi as regional languages in Garhwa and Palamu districts while Angika is listed as the regional language in Dumka, Jamtara, Sahebganj, Pakur and Godda districts. Odiya will be considered a regional language in East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum and Seraikela-Kharsawan districts.

February 15: Bihar Shahid Diwas

February 15 would be commemorated as Shahid Diwas, in the honour of 34 freedom fighters who were killed by Police 90 years ago, in Tarapur town in Munger district of Bihar.

These freedom fighters had never got their due, even though this was the biggest massacre carried out by the British police after Jallianwala Bagh in 1919 in Amritsar.

Prime MinisterNarendra Modihad also referred to the Tarapur massacre in his January 2021 Mann ki Baat radio address.

Chhattisgarh to host supercross bike racing

In order to promote adventure Sports in the state,Chhattisgarh Motor Sports Associationis organising the exciting, fast-paced and adventurous national supercross bike racing 2022 in the capital cityRaipur.

SuperCross bike racing is a fast-paced sport that is conducted in a natural or artificially created muddy up and down (bumped) with obstacles in sequence. Players in this sport are given a collective start. Bike riders face a lot of flying dust, mud particles in many rounds of racing in which they have to show their ability, courage and skills. Supercross racing on a dusty and bumpy track is exciting and scenic, in which many players take part simultaneously.

This sports competition will be organised in the outdoor stadium of Budhapara, in the capital city. The in the ground will be used by the organisers for the construction of the track for this asymmetrical racing, for which experts from the federation have reached and other officials will reach on February 26. From the point of view of security in the event, marshals and members ofChhattisgarh Motor Sports Committeewill discharge their responsibility on and off the field. District Administration,Sports Authorityof India for outdoor stadium have been granted the permission for the same.

2 new industrial belts to come up in Ujjain

The Micro, Small and Medium enterprises (MSME) department will spend Rs 50 crore to develop two new industrial belts inUjjain.

New industrial belts will come up atSarnakhedi andMehidpura Sugar mill and is expected to house close to 400 industries. The MSME department is expected to float tenders for Mehidpura Sugar mill industrial area by the end of this month.

The upcoming industrial belt atSarnakhediis spread across 17 hectare and will have 70 plots for industries.
The estimated cost of development at Sarnakhedi industrial belt is around Rs 125 crore, according to official figures.

Another proposed industrial area at Mehidpur Sugar mill is spread across 43 hectare and the government will spend Rs 38 crore on its development.

Form social justice committees in villages

On the occasion of the world social day, which was observed on Sunday, activists working in the field of social justice have written to the government, seeking formation of social justice committees in villages ofGujarat.

Dalit rights activist, KantilalParmar, in a letter addressed to the chief secretary,Pankaj Kumar, said that according to provisions of the Gujarat Panchayats Act, 1993, social justice committees have to be constituted in every village. He said that section 92 of the Act must be implemented by constituting such committee in every village.

Such committees are either not formed or only exist on paper. According to rules, these committees are expected to meet once every three months, but in a majority of villages, these meetings are not held at all, Paramr said in the letter.
He added that according to rules that govern implementation of the Act, the talati-cum-mantri of the village is mandated to hold meetings of thesocial justice committeeonce every three months. Parmar said that although there are about 18,500 villages in Gujarat, the number of gram panchayats are 13,632 as some villages are combined together have a single gram panchayat. Out of these, less than 3,000 gram panchayats have formed committees and none of them holdmeetings, he said.

Pramarsh 2022 Workshop

Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, Minister of State for Culture and Parliamentary Affairs, launched the ‘Pramarsh 2022’ guidance workshop for college children within the Bikaner District region.

Highlights

One lakh students from over a thousand schools across the Bikaner district, mostly from rural areas, participated in this workshop.

The workshop was organized with the help of the Ministry of Labour & EMPLOYMENT‘s National Institute of Career Services (NICS) and Edumilestones, an academic start-up.

Rajasthan’s Directorate of Education also provided support to the present workshop.

The “Pramarsh 2022” workshop resulted from efforts made to bridge the -academic divide and educate students about the various Options available to them.
