Haryana Bans Govt Employees Participating In Politics, Elections

The Haryana Government has banned employees from participating in and politics.

Highlights:

An announcement has also been issued from the chief secretary’s office in this regard while implementing Haryana Civil Services (Government Employees Conduct) Rules, 2016.

Punjab and Haryana High Court have been focused on complying with Rules 9 and 10 of Haryana Civil Services (Government Employees’ Conduct) Rules, 2016 in letter and essence.

Any breach of the law should encourage immediate and strict disciplinary action.

Show of any electoral symbol by a government employee on his person, vehicle or residence will result in using his influence in association with an election.

Mera Ghar Mere Naam Scheme Launched In Punjab

Mera Ghar Mera Naam scheme was launched on 17 October by the Punjab Chief Minister, Charanjit Singh Channi.

The scheme was launched to provide ownership rights to the people living in lal lakir, part of village habitation used for non-agricultural purposes, of cities and villages.

It will also assist those from underprivileged and needy strata.

This scheme has been extended from villages to residents of cities living within the lal lakir.

To implement the scheme, the revenue department has been mandated to undertake drone surveys of these residential properties across the rural and urban areas for digital mapping.

HPMC, HIMFED barter farm items for C grade apple

The barter system may have gone out of vogue long back, but government agencies such as the HPMC and HIMFED are keeping the old method of exchange alive in Himachal Pradesh.

In lieu of the full or partial payment for C grade apple procured through the market intervention scheme, these agencies offer agricultural tools, fertiliser, crates, baskets, TSO oil, juice and jam to the farmers. Generally, these agencies make payments very late, more than a year later. As a result, many farmers opt to buy some tools or horticultural products that these agencies offer, rather than waiting for the payment.

Stray cattle menace: MCD to use embryo transplantation technique

In order to minimise the number of stray cattle on the streets of the city, the of Dehradun (MCD) is likely to start embryo transplantation in cows in six months.

In the executive committee meeting held last month many councillors complained that stray cattle roaming on various streets cause road accidents due to which many people have been injured in many wards of the city. When they demanded a long term solution for this issue, the officials responded that the corporation will promote and use embryo transplant technology (ETT) to limit the number of male calves in the city.

Nitin Agarwal elected Deputy Speaker of UP Assembly

BJP-backed SP rebel candidate Nitin Agarwal was elected the deputy speaker of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly, defeating Narendra Verma, the official candidate of Akhilesh Yadav’s party, by 244 votes

While Agarwal bagged 304 votes, Verma got 60 votes in the polling. The voting took place inside the assembly premises through ballot paper.

A total of 368 votes were cast, out of which four were declared invalid.

RMCs first dedicated state-of-art vegetable market ready to open

The civic authority in Ranchi is ready with the capital’s first dedicated vegetable market where over 300 sellers, who operate out of a road opposite Raj Bhavan, will be relocated. The move will ensure smooth flow of traffic near Raj Bhavan.

The market, built by Ranchi at over 40,000 sq feet at Naga Baba Khatal at a cost of Rs 10 crore, is awaiting formal inauguration. Chief Minister Hemant Soren will inaugurate the state of art market this month. The Ranchi Municipal Corporation (RMC) has started preparations for the inauguration of the market.

The foundation stone of the Naga Baba vegetable market project was laid in 2017 when the Raghubar Das-led BJP government was in power. It was meant to be ready by 2020 but the project got mired in delays due alterations in design and the pandemic.

Cases of dengue, Japanese encephalitis increasing in Patna

Covid-19 cases may be decreasing in Bihar, but the cases of dengue, Chikungunya and Japanese encephalitis are increasing in the state capital.

Apart from Japanese encephalitis, the cases of dengue and chikungunya are also increasing in Bihar.

Patna has several places like Kankarbagh, Danapur, Digha, Patrakar Nagar, Yaarpur, Jakkanpur and Gardanibagh, which are considered low-lying areas, where water accumulates and stays for most part of the year.

Bastar CCI praises new industrial policy

The Bastar Chamber of Commerce and Industries (CCI) praised the new Industrial Policy of the Chhattisgarh government.

This was stated during the golden jubilee celebration of CCI at Bastar where Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel was the chief guest.

Baghel, who was touring Jagdalpur to view the Bastar Dussehra, also attended the golden jubilee celebrations of CCI.

He felicitated former Presidents and members of CCI with shawls and mementos. A souvenir was released to mark 50 years of CCI.

Two engineering colleges from Madhya Pradesh get NBA accreditation

Two engineering colleges of the state have got accreditation from National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi for four courses till the year 2022-23.

They are engineering colleges of Rewa and Ujjain. Recently, the mechanical course of Ujjain Engineering College and civil, mechanical and electrical engineering courses of Rewa Engineering College have received accreditation from the National Board of Accreditation.

Gujarat: Rs 5,000 financial aid for tribal pilgrims

Ahead of the 2022 assembly , the BJP government in Gujarat has decided to offer financial assistance of Rs 5,000 to every person from the states tribal community going on a pilgrimage to Shri Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya.
