18cr okayed for development of new tourist spot at Tanot

To develop a new tourist spot atTanot Mateshwari Templepremises inJaisalmer, theRajasthan tourism departmenthad sent a proposal after which theUnion Art, Culture and Tourism Ministryhas approved Rs 17.67 crore for the plan.

Preparations have been started with the help of BSF to develop the Tanot as a tourist spot. development will be done for the devotees and tourists.

The number of devotees are increasing to the 1,200-year-old Tanot Mateshwari Temple. This temple has been the witness to 1965 and 1971 wars withPakistanand tourists coming to Jaisalmer make a point to visit this temple.
