HPs 1st drone pilot school starts ops

Himachal Pradesh chief minister Jai RamThakurdedicated the first drone pilot school of the state established at ITI Shahpur ofKangradistrict on Saturday. On the occasion he said drones were a new dimension of modern era technology that could be easily controlled by any person and also be used for daily tasks.

Thakur said drone was an innovative technology that could be highly useful for keeping vigil on crops, besides being used for spraying of pesticides and insecticides. He said even Prime MinisterNarendra Modihad requested the state governments to promote drone technology in a big way.

He added that the drone technology was being used to demarcate land and prepare documents of populated areas in the state.

10-point dip in maternal mortality rate of Madhya Pradesh

Madhya Pradeshhas reported a ten-point dip in maternal mortality ratio to take it down to 163 in 2017-19, shows a special bulletin of sample registration system on maternal deaths released recently.

The state has a maternal mortality ratio of 173 in 2016-18 in accordance with the SRS bulletin. The MP despite this dip in MMR continued to be in the worst three performing states in the country behindAssam(205) andUttar Pradesh(167), showed a bulletin released in March.

Maternal death is a death of a woman while pregnant or within 42 days of termination of pregnancy, irrespective of the duration and site of the pregnancy, from any cause related to or aggravated by the pregnancy or its management but not from accidental or incidental causes. And, the Maternal Mortality Ratio (MMR) is defined as the number of maternal deaths during a given time per 100,000 live births during the same time.

SRS bulletin further showed that MP along with eight others continued to remain in Empowered Action Group (EAG) of states, which cumulatively had an Average MMR of 145 that was way higher than national average of 103.

In all states in the country, Madhya Pradesh along with Uttar Pradesh have the highest 14.7% maternal mortality rate i.e., maternal death in pregnant Women of reproductive age group, showed bulletin.

Gujarats famed garba mayget heritage tag of Unesco

Chances ofGujarats famedgetting the coveted Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity (ICH) tag bestowed by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (Unesco) have brightened.

The government of Indias ministry of culture is preparing a dossier that will be submitted to Unesco by this month-end.

As part of the exercise, letters of Consent for nomination of garba of Gujarat for the possible inscription are being collected from all stakeholders from across the state.

Since 2008, 14 intangible cultural heritages from India have been listed by Unesco. These include Koodiyattam, a Sanskrit theatre of Kerala; Mudiyett, a ritual theatre and dance drama of Kerala; vedic chanting; Ramlila; Ramman (a religious festival and ritual theatre of Garhwal, Uttarakhand); Kalbelia folk songs and dances of Rajasthan; Chhau dance (a classical dance form of West Bengal and Odisha); Buddhist Chanting of Ladakh; Sankirtana (a ritual singing, drumming and dancing of Manipur); traditional brass and copper craft of utensil making among the Thatheras of Jandiala Guru, Punjab; and Yoga.

Industries ministerShakuntala Rawatsaid the state had created a one-stop-shop where approvals and clearance from 14 departments were provided. In order to maintain the Growth momentum, RIICO has been developing new industrial areas. RIICO MD Archana Singh said they have recently announced 68 industrial areas.

For new industrial areas, the government announced development of MSE industrial area in every sub-division of the state, she said at CII-Rajasthan summit on Invest Rajasthan: Building Future Ready Business Environment.

Indias first 100% women-owned industrial park begins operations in Hyderabad

Indias first 100 per cent Women-owned industrial park began operations in Hyderabad. Promoted by the FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO) in PARTNERSHIP with the , the park has 25 units, representing 16 diverse green category industries, all owned and operated by women.

The FLO industrial park, the first-of-its-kind park in the country, was established over 50 acres in Sultanpur near Patancheru with an Investment of Rs 250 crore. The park has already garnered tremendous interest from women entrepreneurs to run and operate their businesses

The park has also created amenities to offer a homely Environment for women by keeping in mind the necessities of working women entrepreneurs, including designing creches and playschools. The FLO also plans to set up similar multi-Industry women industrial parks in various States and a centre of excellence for Skill development in Phase II.

MSME ministry launches scheme to promote creativity, entrepreneurship in sector

TheMSME ministry launched an innovative scheme to promote creativity, adoption of latest technologies and increase awareness about importance of among MSMEs.

The scheme is an amalgamation of the incubation, design andIPR(intellectual property rights) schemes of the ministry.

It would act as a hub for innovative activities, besides facilitating and guiding development of ideas into viable business prepositions that can benefit Society directly and can be marketed successfully.

Launching the scheme,MSMEMinister Narayan Rane said the scheme will help the MSME sector, which accounts for a major share in the country’s exports and manufacturing.

Under the scheme, the ministry would provide financial assistance for innovation, design and IPR protection.

The IPR vertical of the scheme aims at enhancing the awareness of these rights among MSMEs and taking suitable measures for the protection of ideas, technological innovation and knowledge-driven business strategies.

Similarly, under the innovation vertical, untapped creativity would be supported and promoted besides adoption of latest technologies in MSMEs.

The Innovative scheme provides financial assistance up to Rs.5 lakh for a foreign patent, Rs.1 lakh for a domestic patent, Rs.2 lakh for GI registration, Rs.15,000 for design registration and Rs.10,000 for a trademark in the form of reimbursement.

The PMGati Shakti Yojanais one of the four big priorities for the Prime Minister Narendra Modi government.

The Pradhan Mantri Gati Shakti scheme will help India attract from all over the world for improving the Infrastructure of the country.
