Haryana Government launched the Drone Imaging and Information Service of Haryana Limited (DRIISHYA) for surveying infrastructure projects, monitoring of agriculture and horticulture crops, and surveillance of sensitive areas for security purposes.

While inaugurating the Startup Symposium and Ignite, 2023 in Chandigarh, Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal said that the Government of India has emphasized the need of utilizing drones and capture images to understand the crops yield and crops damage due to inclement weather, so that the compensation can be given to the farmers accordingly.

The Chief Secretary said that DRIISHYA will impart drone pilot training to the youth in the state which would generate EMPLOYMENT opportunities for them.He said the State Government is also using drones to curb illegal mining activities and ensure sustainable mining practices in the state.

The government has been using drones to monitor and prevent stubble burning in the state. With this step, stubble-burning cases have come down to 47 percent as compared to the previous year. Now we are working to bring down the stubble burning cases to zero active fire incidents, he said.Speaking about the startups in Haryana, he said that the state is becoming a hub for a vibrant startup ecosystem in the country.

Punjab CM dedicates Guru Teg Bahadur Museum to the masses

Dedicating the newly-renovated Guru Tegh Bahadur Museum to the masses, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann exhorted the people to uphold and emulate the high ideals of and humanitarianism embodied by the ninth Sikh Guru.

The Chief Minister, addressing the gathering after inspecting the ongoing work at Panj Pyara Park, said that the ninth Sikh guru, who founded the holy town of Sri Anandpur Sahib, was the epitome of Socialism and secularism as he sacrificed his life for the sake of preserving Human Rights in the country.

Mann urged the people to imbibe the spirit of self-sacrifice preached and practiced by Hind Di Chaadar, Guru Teg Bahadur Ji, who laid down his life to safeguard the freedom of worship, besides upholding the human and secular values. He said that the bani of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji, which is included in Guru Granth Sahib, preaches the message of oneness of mankind, universal brotherhood, righteousness, valour and compassion, which need to be followed by one and all.

The Chief Minister said that the life and Philosophy of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur is a lighthouse for the entire humanity adding that this Museum will help in perpetuating this glorious legacy on one hand and further cementing the ties between people on the other.

The Chief Minister further said that the State Government has inherited a debt of Rs 9020 crore of Powercom from previous governments. This bad debt is being repaid through installments worth Rs 1804 crore. The State Government has, so far, provided more than 28,000 jobs to the youth in the state, he added.

HP Govt to set up Investment Bureau for single-roof facilitation mechanism

To scale up the and to minimize delay in getting requisite approvals through a single-roof facilitation mechanism, the Himachal Pradesh Government is establishing an Investment Bureau in the State.

The Investment Bureau would replace the old single-window system and would be given the powers to approve investment proposals, said the Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, while presiding over a meeting to discuss the modalities of the proposed Bureau.

The Chief Minister said that the Investment Bureau would be set up under the Industries Department and will comprise officers from all the concerned departments to facilitate hassle-free investment and would work together to ensure that the investment cases are processed quickly and efficiently. Additionally, penal provisions would be in place for the officers responsible for the delay, he added.

The Chief Minister said that the establishment of the Investment Bureau aims to expedite the approval process, allowing investors to start their work soon after applying and the State Government would make necessary amendments in law as well to empower the Investment Bureau.

The State Government is expecting investment in tourism besides attracting investments in IT, Solar Energy, green hydrogen, and other sectors. The investments would not only generate revenue for the state exchequer but will also open EMPLOYMENT opportunities to the youth, said the Chief Minister.

Tiger population in Shivalik hills & Gangetic plains records maximum rise

Thetiger populationin theShivalik hillsandGangetic plainslandscape, which includes the regions of Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh andBihar, has increased by 158 in the last four years, the highest uptick in the country. In 2018, this landscape had 646 tigers, which increased to 804 by 2022.
The figures were revealed in the ‘Status of Tigers’ report, which was released on Sunday in Mysuru by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. A significant contribution to the report has been made by scientists of the Doon-based Wildlife Institute of India (WII). One of the scientists involved with the report: “The tiger Population in forest divisions of the Shivalik hills and Gangetic landscape has seen a significant increase which is encouraging.”

The landscape is primarily divided into three geological zones — the Shivaliks, Bhabar tract and the Terai plains. The robust tiger population in the landscape ensures free flow of tigers, especially between India and Nepal. WII scientists said that another encouraging sign was that along with an increase in tiger numbers, tiger distribution in the landscape had increased as well, indicating free movement of tigers, who populate newer habitats.

UP turning intoan export state

Uttar Pradesh is turning into an export state of India as among the 43 Centers of Export Excellence selected by the Central government, 12 are from Uttar Pradesh.

The Central government, while releasing the countrys Policy-2023 recently, declared four more places, including three in Uttar Pradesh Varanasi, Moradabad and Mirzapur as Centres of Export Excellence, which speaks volumes about the development being witnessed in the state. Mirzapur is known for its handmade carpets, Moradabad for carpets and Varanasi for handloom and handicrafts.

The other nine cities of UP, which are already on this list, include Kekhra (for handloom), Malihabad (for Horticulture), Kanpur (for leather products), Agra (for leather products), Firozabad (for bangles-glass items), Saharanpur (for handicrafts), Bhadohi (for carpets) and Noida (for apparel products).

Being included in this list means that these cities will have priority access to the Export Promotion Fund and all these cities will be able to get common service provider benefits for fulfillment of exports under the Export Promotion Capital Goods (EPCG) scheme.

Uttar Pradesh, despite being a landlocked state, has seen a remarkable Growth in its exports in the last six years of the Yogi government going up from Rs 88,967 crore to Rs 1.57 lakh crore. As per the intention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is laying special emphasis on exporting traditional products of Uttar Pradesh along with ensuring Ease of Doing Business in the state. With the establishment of dry Ports and opening of a water route between Varanasi to Haldia, the State Government has opened new doors of possibilities for entrepreneurs investing in UP.

In this context, the government is focusing on taking the exports further from Rs 1.57 lakh crore to Rs 2 lakh crore at the earliest. Various facilities are being provided to investors as well as to entrepreneurs from the state.

The government has also introduced 25 sectoral policies to boost industrial growth in diverse sectors. A framework is being prepared to implement Investment proposals worth Rs 35 lakh crore received through the Global Investors Summit (UP GIS-2023).

The Yogi government has introduced the concept of dry ports through the UP Warehousing and Logistics Policy-2022 to facilitate transportation of export cargo to sea ports and many entrepreneurs are investing in it.

As Uttar Pradesh is a landlocked state with various export clusters, emphasis is being laid on development of dry ports in the state. An inland port is made under dry ports, where the customs formalities between the exporter and the importer are completed. After this the containers are sent to the port

The dry ports operating currently are Moradabad Rail Linked Joint Domestic and Exim Terminal, Rail Linked Private Freight Terminal and Inland Container Depot (ICD) in Kanpur, and ICD at Dadri Terminal.

CM unveils projects worth Rs 753.92 Cr in Sahebganj

Chief Minister Hemant Soren today inaugurated the Measles-Rubella special vaccination campaign from Bhognadih, the holy land of martyrs Sido-Kanhu and connecting members with Pacs-Lamps under the newly formed Sido-Kanhu State Cooperative Union. On this occasion, he gifted 2,080 schemes to Sahibganj district and distributed assets among them to empower the beneficiaries. The CM also handed over the keys of four bike ambulances for remote and hilly areas of the district. In the programme organized on Sido Kanhu Jayanti, the CM said that the government is committed for the progress of the state and its people.

The CM said that now the voice, vision and schemes of the government are reaching every village. Earlier, plans used to be made in air-conditioned offices and ended there as well. But, after the formation of a separate Jharkhand state, our government has worked to change this practice which has been going on for the last two decades. Now by setting up camps in panchayats, an army of officers is reaching your doorstep with schemes and your problems are being solved.

Under the Sido-Kanho Agriculture-notes-for-state-psc-exams”>Agriculture and Forest Products Federation, the CM inaugurated the grand campaign to strengthen LAMPS-PACKS and add members to it. Under this, the target is to increase the number of members of Pacs-Lamps to 28 lakhs in the next one month, which is currently 14 lakhs. In this, at least one member from 30 lakh families will be added.

RERA to compensate aggrieved buyers in Patna

Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA), Bihar, has confiscated 27 katha of land owned by Agrani Homes at Patna after it failed to fulfill its commitment made to property buyers and violated RERA norms.

RERA has put up a board on the land on Saturday. Naveen Verma, chairman of RERA, Bihar, said the land will be auctioned by the authority and its proceeds will be distributed among the aggrieved customers of different projects Agrani Homes Private Limited to compensate them.

Legal aid defense counsel offices to be launched in 5 dist

Aiming to upgrade the delivery oflegalaid, the Chhattisgarh State Legal Services Authority (SLSA) will launch the theLegal Aid Defense Counsel(LADC) offices in the remaining five judicial districts of the state on Wednesday. The five judicial districts where the LADC offices will come up are Bemetara, Balod, Kondagaon, Dantewada and Jashpur.

The need for reform in the existing free legal aid model was recognized by NALSA during its 25th anniversary. In response, a pilot project was launched in 12 districts, including Bilaspur, to establish LADC offices. The success of the pilot project led to the expansion of the initiative to 17 districts in Chhattisgarh in the second phase.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan while making an emotional appeal to the sisters at the Ladli Bahna Sammelan and Health Services expansion program in Morena today said that come my sisters, create a new era where my sister, daughter and their families are happy.

Chouhan said that the work done in the health department in the state in the last 3 years was not done even in the last 50 years. Our government has increased the budget of health department to 11 thousand 988 crores, which used to be very less in previous governments. Health services are being expanded at a fast pace in the state.

Chouhan said that Mukhya Mantri Ladli Laxmi Yojana, Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah/Nikah Yojana and now Mukhya Mantri Ladli Bahna Yojana are campaigns to change the lives of daughters and sisters. In the state, 50 percent seats have been reserved for daughters in Panchayat and urban bodies and 30 percent seats in Police recruitment. In the recruitment of teachers, half the places have been kept for daughters. Where men are charged 3 percent stamp duty in the registry, Women have been given the facility of one percent stamp duty.

Favourable prices and industrial demand drove silver imports to a record high of 1,173 metric tonnes (MT) in 2022-23. This was 91% higher than the 631 MT silver imported the previous fiscal year, according to data from the Ahmedabad Air Cargo Complex (AACC).

With prices touching a low of Rs 52,000 perkgaround September 2022, silver demand picked up, bullion traders and analysts said.

Retail consumption of silver has also increased significantly. Jewellers attribute this to the growing popularity of silver for everyday wear jewellery and gift articles and accessories.
