Haryanagovernment has prepared a scheme of Investment subsidy in lieu of Net SGST to attract moreinvestorsto the state, under which projects from MSMEs and upwards will be given subsidy. Establishment of more industries is expected to create more employment opportunities for the youth.

Dushyant said that a customised package would be offered by the Haryana Enterprises Promotion Board to ultra mega projects across the state. The quantum and duration of subsidy in lieu of net SGST would be decided by this board.

For the first five years, the Industry set up in D-category would be given net SGST of 75% and 35% (maximum 125% of fixed capital investment) would be given for the next three years. Industries falling in the C-category segment would get 50% of net SGST for the first five years and 25% for next three years (maximum 100% of fixed capital investment). B-category industries engaged in this segment would be given 30% net SGST for the first five years, and 15% (maximum of 100% of fixed capital investment) for the next three years from the commencement of manufacturing of commercial products.

To make Punjab a zero stubble burning state, the Punjab Agriculture Department has initiated a massive drive to provide more than 25,000 agro-machines or farm equipment to farmers for in-situ management of paddy residue with a subsidy component of Rs 250 crore during the current fiscal.

Subsidy ranging from 50 to 80 percent is being offered to the farmers under the scheme with 80 percent subsidy to and farmers groups while 50 percent is for individuals. The machinery portal is being reopened from August 2-4, 2021, only for Panchayats, Cooperative societies, and FPOs to give them one more opportunity to avail the benefit of these subsidized agri-equipments.

The State Government has focused on delivering state-of-the-art machines to farmers including Super SMS, Happy Seeder, Paddy Straw Chopper, Shredder or Mulcher, Hydraulic Reversible Mould Board Plough and Zero Till Drill.

As many as 18,294 students are without smartphones and students of 225 schools with poor or no internet connectivity are at the receiving end.

They have little access to online TEACHING and are lagging behind others. A maximum number of 5,314 students (Class VI to XII) are without smartphones in the backward district of Chamba, followed by Mandi (2,723), Una (2,251) Sirmaur (1,838), Hamirpur (1,698), Kullu (1,560), Shimla (1,355), Kangra (1,047), Kinnaur (548), Solan (310), Bilaspur (185) and Lahaul and Spiti (95).

Even 225 schools have no or poor Internet connectivity and 46 such schools are in Sirmaur district, followed by Kullu (45), Lahaul and Spiti (23), Chamba and Una (19 each), Mandi (18), Bilaspur (17), Hamirpur (15), Kangra (12), Kinnaur and Solan (5 each) and Shimla (1).

Last year, Microsoft, Adani Group, MAQ, Hiranandani Group, Netmagic Services, STT Pvt Ltd and Agarwal Associate Ltd also submitted their proposals to the government. Acting promptly on their proposals, the New Okhla Industrial Development Authority allotted 60,000 square metres to Microsoft in Sector 145. Microsoft will establish its Software park and data centre on the land at an estimated cost of Rs 1,800 crore, providing EMPLOYMENT to more than 3,500 people.

Similarly, Noida authority allotted a plot of 34,275 square metres to Adani Group at a prime location in Sector-62 of and 39,146 square metres to Adani Enterprises in Sector-80 of Noida. The group will set up a world class data centre on this plot at the cost of Rs 2,500 crore, which will provide jobs to 2,350 people. Besides, Noida authority allotted a plot of 16,350 square metres to MAQ India Pvt Ltd, which is one of the world’s leading IT and information technology enabled services (ITES) companies. The company will set up an IT project at a cost of Rs 250 crore on the land in Sector-145, he said.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren has taken a concrete measure towards providing quality education to the students of Jharkhand by converting government schools into Schools of Excellence. In the first phase, the proposed 80 schools across all the districts of the State are being transformed into School of Excellence. The education department has already floated a tender for the same. Initially, a tender for 27 schools has been floated by the department and another tender for the remaining 53 schools will be floated soon.

As per the vision of the CM, almost 5,000 government-run schools will be transformed into modern Education facilities. Given this, the education department has already come into action and the work is being done on war footing. It is aimed that by the start of the 2022-23 academic session, 80 district-level schools of excellence would be ready to cater to almost 2,00,000 students from across the state.

The government has planned to develop a world-class education in all the Schools of Excellence. The schools will be equipped with an uninterrupted electricity supply, the installation of eye-friendly lights and a clean Atmosphere. The classrooms will be equipped with smart board facilities where students can learn through the virtual and 3D representation of subject material.

The development of these schools is being planned on the model of private schools and will ensure that a child from the marginalized sections of the Society gets quality education which is at par with private schools. Given this, separate labs, libraries, and STEM Labs will be established in each school.

The governments target is to operationalise 80 district level schools of excellence before the start of the session 2022-23, 329 block schools before the session of 2023-24 and more than 4,000 Panchayat level schools before the session of 2024-25.

Bihar has 75.9 per cent, Gujarat 75.3 per cent, Chhattisgarh 74.6 per cent, Uttarakhand 73.1 per cent, Uttar Pradesh 71 per cent and Andhra Pradesh 70.2 per cent sero prevalence.

Chhattisgarh has registered 33 percent rise in Goods and Services Tax (GST) collection in July 2021 as compared to corresponding period of the last year.

The total GST collection in July was Rs 2,432 crores while the figure was Rs 1,832 crore in July 2020. The collection is more than 32 percent increase in the total GST collection at the national level. As per the data released by the Central Government, compared to Chhattisgarh, the GST collection in Madhya Pradesh was 16 percent. The GST collection in Punjab (29%), Andhra Pradesh (28%), Kerala (27%), Bihar (21%), Uttar Pradesh (18%), West Bengal (15%), Uttarakhand, Karnataka and Rajasthan (12%).

RanthamboreTiger Reserve (RTR), which is a shining example for wildlife tourism across the globe, failed to bag the coveted global Conservation Assured Tiger Standards (CATS) accreditation in the first phase after authorities failed to provide the required data.

The reserve was not on the elite list, announced by the Union Environment ministry on the International Tiger Day, as state officials failed to give information to theGlobal Tiger ForumandWWF India, agencies that are responsible for giving CATS assessment for theNational Tiger Conservation Authority(NTCA).

The CATS certification is a new conservation tool endorsed by the Global Tiger Forum (GTF) to set minimum standards for effective management of target species for conservation both outside and inside .

Experts believe the selected reserves can receive better funding and support from the Centre as well from players across the world.
