Haryana allots 140 acre Manesar land to e-tailer for logistics point

In view of increasing demand for from E-Commerce companies,HaryanaEnterprise Promotion Board (HEPB) on Tuesday approved allotment of 140 acres of land of Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (HSIIDC) to theFlipkart Groupfor setting up their largest fulfilling centre in Asia.
The centre will have a covered area of 3 million square feet in Patli Hajipur, Manesar.

The company is planning to build a Logistics campus in the national capital region, in proximity to Gurgaon. They intend to build a campus spread over an area of 140 acres to cater to demand in north India. This fulfillment centre will essentially cater to parcel and white goods and furniture, he added. He claimed that approximately 6,000 direct and 12,000 indirect jobs will be created through this Investment.

Speed up land acquisition: Centre to Himachal

The Centre has asked the to expedite land acquisition for the remaining four phases of the Pathankot-Mandi fourlane project.

The Ministry of Road Transport & Highways has asked the state for the quick disbursal of compensation for land to the affected people for expediting the NH project.

The project falls among the top priority projects since this road will link Pathankot with Leh and Ladakh. The government of India had shelved the Bilaspur-Leh rail line project. Therefore, the Pathankot-Mandi project has now gained more importance and the government wants to complete it at the earliest.

The bidding process for the first phase of the Pathankot-Mandi project had been completed last month and the construction works valuing over Rs 800 crore had been awarded to IRB Infrastructure. This company has also been directed to complete the project within two years.

The secretary Panchayati Raj, H C Semwal has said that all the Jan Sewa Kendras (JSKs) should be activated and the VLEs should ensure that all the eligible beneficiaries get information that Ayushman cards are being made free of cost at JSKs. He was speaking at a training programme of the officers of Panchayati Raj department and social organisations working in rural areas here on Saturday.

It is pertinent to mention here that the and the Women and child development departments are undertaking an awareness campaign for making the Ayushman cards in the state.

All these envoys have been trained by expert trainers, to create a culture of cleanliness & hygiene management in the schools. Health & Wellness envoys have been trained in a manner that they can work as a brand ambassador and volunteer in their respective schools.

Bills propose new mechanism for appointment of college principals

Apart from the appointment of assistant professors, the Bihar State University Service Commission will also carry out appointment of principals in colleges, who have been included as teachers under the Bihar State University Service Commission Act, 2017, through an amendment Bill which was passed by the Legislative Assembly along with six other Bills amid Oppositions walkout.

In April 2017, both the Houses of Bihar legislature had passed the Bihar State Universities (Amendment) Bill, 2017, and the Patna University (Amendment) Bill, 2017, to bring principals back into the TEACHING fold.

The amendments were significant, as the government had itself removed principals from the teaching cadre through the 2012 amendment to the two Acts.

The Bihar State Higher Education Council (Amendment) Bill, 2021, makes provision for reappointment of the vice chairman of the council.

The government had already reappointed the vice chairman prior to Assembly election through an ordinance, which the bill repeals.

Under the new bill, the vice chairman can hold office for a maximum of two terms of five years each.

The Bihar (Amendment) Bill, 2021, makes provision for constitution/reconstitution of the gram panchayat area even with Population less than 7,000.

The Bihar Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management (Amendment) Bill, 2021, proposes to increase the Fiscal Deficit target and annual borrowing limit for the year 2020-21 by 2% over and above the limits prescribed earlier.

Chhattisgarh has secured the third rank in the country for conducting the maximum number of Covid-19 tests per 10 lakh population per day. Only Maharashtra and Gujarat are ahead of Chhattisgarh.

On an Average, 1,409 samples per 10 lakh Population are being examined every day in Chhattisgarh. A total of 58,32,740 samples have been tested for Covid so far.

Since the onset of Covid in the state, Chhattisgarh has been among the leading states testing maximum number of samples for Covid-19 per 10 lakh population.

Chouhan said that tourism will also get a boost in Home Stay, Gram Stay scheme. He told that even people living in palaces want to stay in slums for mental, spiritual peace and new experiences. Chouhan said that Khajuraho is proof enough of not only art, culture but also of , spirituality and how can a person lead a perfect and happy life.

Three states owe Gujarat Rs 6,934 crore

The states of Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan owed Gujarat a sum of Rs 6,934.19 crore as part of the Narmada project, the informed in the ongoing budget session of the Gujarat assembly.

Rajasthan becomes first state to provide health insurance for all its residents

Rajasthan kicked off its cashless’mediclaim’ schemeworth Rs 5 lakh for each family of the state, starting the registration for its ChiranjeeviHealth InsuranceScheme. With the start of the registration of people under the scheme, announced by chief ministerAshok Gehlotin the state budget 2021-22, Rajasthan has become the first state in the country to provide Health Insurance to all its residents.

Under the scheme, each family of the state will get an annual health insurance cover of Rs 5 lakh.
